  • Hope from Roma that Lokonga transfer will free up Xhaka move.
  • No progress on Locatelli for Arsenal or Juventus.
  • Golloni seen as competition and heir to Lloris
  • Still no deal between Atletico and Barcelona for Saul and Greizmann.
  • Despite Barcelona's current situation Messi's situation is all sorted
  • Saul has several suitors on the premier league
  • United to announce Sancho officially soon.
  • United and Real Madrid talks continue over Varane the player wants to leave and happy to accept United offer but wants to do it respectfully.
  • Chelsea working on new deals for Jorginho and Kante.

Chelsea get a bit of a free pass of just how much shite they have on their books still. Although I suppose the fact they end up making alright money for them makes a difference.

This is the biggest news of the summer. Batshuayi still plays for Chelsea! What the hell?
Zappacosta was equally as surprising to me.
Chelsea always have several players that you thought they would have sold years ago, but then they just turn up for training at the start of pre-season.

Just had a look at which players they still have on their books. Blown away by the fact that the two aforementioned players, Baba Rahman, Bakayoko, Musonda, Loftus-Cheek, Drinkwater and Kenedy are still with them. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they looked under the floorboards and found Josh McEachran sitting there still collecting his paycheck.

Why do I remember this name? Was he one of those highly rated Chelsea academy players from a few years ago?

Yep. Chelsea fans were adamant he would become the best midfielder in the Prem while we were saying the same thing about Pogba and Morrison.

I really rate him whenever I've seen him. He has a long way to go of course but very promising, I'd be happy to tie him down if he were at our place. Has a bit of the Jack Grealish about him, but maybe more of a team player. Yet another young English attacking midfielder, the country really has a tonne of them coming through.

Agreement in principle between
Raphaël Varane and Manchester United. It now remains to find an agreement between Real Madrid and Manchester United, who are currently negotiating. The French defender would like to discover the Premier League but will not go arm wrestling to leave (wants to leave respectfully).

Written in French? On it's on. Change the Varane thread title please.

Got briefly excited when I saw the agreement in principle. Still nothing with RM. :boring:

Hasn't this been said ten times by different journos already?

I say Rice is a Matic in his prime and some call it a disgrace and insult to Matic. So 60M is still overpriced.

Spending 60 is better than whatever insane amount West Ham might value him at.

If we did sign him Rice could be one of the most divisive transfers in a long time with our fan base for him.
