Maybe Woody is calling up every midfielder in a long list of potential targets across the globe to register our interest as a smokescreen for the true midfielder we are signing.

Ramsdale's a decent keeper and still young. Not half as bad as he's made out to be on here after a dodgy half season at Sheff Utd.
Gets a lot of unfair criticism for some reason. I was hoping the price tag would put Arsenal off but looks like we are going to lose him unfortunately.

I don’t understand why this keeper keeps going for so much money
POTS for the last couple of seasons at both clubs he’s been at speaks for itself. Our goal difference would have been far worse without him that’s for sure. + England international tax

No offence but wasn’t Henderson up there too? I suspect a keeper will always look good in your setup because they have more work to do

Henderson is just a fantastic keeper himself. We’ve experienced worse goalkeepers than these two in the same set up, didn’t look good.

Deary me, Sheffield's defence was suspect last season, but this guy looked like a wet paper bag last season. 30 fecking million, they'd be better off getting Seaman out off retirement for half the price.

Seaman would cost £15m to come out of retirement?

He just didn’t though. The price tag reflects our desire to keep him.

Dont be doing that haha. That is one of the main reasons why i have signed up to this forum after 8 years just reading things as a guest :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ha ha. Exactly. Even us lurking newbies know the sound of forum bloat when we hear it. We need to be free to choose a world without endless tweets of non league nobodies. We newbies are people too. Not just a number. We are free men

At this point it's not even a smokescreen anymore, he burned the whole forest down.

Suddenly we're being linked with several midfielders... hmm...

Yep, one of two reasons in my opinion:
  1. News outlets spreading nonsense off the back of yesterday's reports that Ole has targeted two more signings (seemingly Trippier & Midfielder)
  2. We're getting frustrated with negotiations for the midfielder we actually want, so are starting to apply pressure by showing the club we have other options

Mental. Take the money & run away laughing. You’ll pick up a Championship goalkeeper at least as good for £5m max.
Hopefully we don’t get rinsed now everyone knows we are getting good money for him.

If you’re coming with that attitude you won’t last long. He does not tweet non league. He tweets the lower leagues and has Caf permission to do so

I’m still unsure about signing Camavinga. He seems to have his heart set on a move to Spain and specifically Madrid. Don’t want to sign him and then he’s potentially forcing his way out a couple years down the line, a player like that you want as a mainstay in the team for years to come and someone you can build the midfield around.

We need to stop thinking every player we sign is going to be a Giggs or Scholes and stay with us forever, happily. Exiting young prospects with amazing potential pop up all the time so if a player wants to go after a two or three years, fine let them. They can be replaced.

But where will he play? Genuinely asking
If we're playing 4-3-3 it's either LW (which is saturated) or left of the 3 mids to replace Pogba. That doesn't solve the need for an all action god of a DM in such a setup, though. I'd love to sign him but can't see it working really.

I swear Talksport are about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. They employ Jamie O'Hara ffs.
