If there is a deal for him it will likely happen much later in the window.

Diogo Dalot might become the backup right back for us if we can't get Trippier for a good price.
I don't think he would even want to stay, especially as a back up RB when he can in AC Milan.

So far, he's not committed to any club at this time. He himself will be coming back to Manchester after the tournament ends, anyways, so as it stands, we can expect him to continue with us for next season. AC Milan do want him on loan with an option to buy, but United haven't really committed to loaning Dalot out again for now.

He could play on both positions, most probably left back given that Ryan Bertrand has left the club. Kyle Walker-Peters has sealed the right back position for himself, anyways.
They're just young guys with potential but won't play a lot for now. We'll probably get a similar signing at RB if Bellerin is sold.
Imagine if these are 2 of the 4-5 major signings that gunnerblog of The Athletic was referring to. Now Lokonga's pretty good, and he may surprise people, but even then, that has to be underwhelming.
