Staying here for another year could give me stability, but that’s for later. As far as I know, there is no option in the agreement, we will have to discuss that with Manchester United later. I like Belgium, it is a bit the same as the Netherlands. Something that is in my head: that by staying here maybe a little more stability can come, but it is now super difficult to fully focus on that.

This Tweet and the article it includes covers what Neuhaus said in Germany's recent press conference.

Relevant translated quote:
I notice that there is a lot of writing and speculation. But I choose not to get involved in that. That is not a big issue for me either. To be honest, I don't see the future as unclear as just mentioned.

He seems to be committed to Mönchengladbach for next season at the very least. Maybe things could change depending on the next managerial hire.

This is based on the fact that Ronaldo's costs are a huge burden on Juve's finances, so they'd be okay to let him go if he wants to leave. However, they want a minimum of 25 million Euros for him else a deal won't be possible.

25m is nothing for him. Just sign him please.
Or

40m and him for Pogba.

The problem would be the massive wages that he'd ask for. Even then, we have a few other gaps to fill up, and I doubt he'd want to come to United unless they have a great chance at winning the league and the CL.

Basically, Nacho Fernández wants to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his career and is not interested in any other team at this time.

Can't believe people want a 35 year old Ronaldo on massive wages back.

Source: Bild (for the Man. City links) and La Tribune de Genève (for the Zakaria quote)

Zakaria said this about his current contract situation:
There’s a lot of speculation surrounding my future, but I’m still under contract until 2022. I’ve always said that I want to take a step up in my career one day, but there’s a season to finish first and I’m focused on that. We can still qualify for a European cup…

To get Ronaldo performing at a high level, you would need a player who does the dirty work for him.

Someone like Rooney or Benzema, who at United fit this description?

And screw our wage structure for many years.
Not really. I mean nobody in our squad would bat an eyelid when we tell them he’s getting paid more than them. He’s a GOAT ffs.

Martial is going to kick up a stink over it? He can do one.

Most of them with any sense would be over the moon to even train with him.

We took gamble on 34 year old Cavani who hasn't played for months. He is Ronaldo ffs. Yes, wages would be huge but it would just boost us.

For 25m, we could easily get 3 years from him. Wages - yes, but we are also moving some high earners out.

In response to the Lucas Vázquez to Bayern rumours:

Bayern Munich are not interested in signing Lucas Vázquez. Bayern want to wait for the market to develop, and the player with his position profile does not match the record champions' most urgent wishes.

Oh, and...

Still can't believe that people think it's a good idea to spend 25m + massive wages on a 35 yr old.

On another note, if Pogba went back to Juve, I don't see it as much of a new challenge for him. Sure, he win might 1 trophy that's he's already won and there's the Italian lifestyle too, but Juve are nowhere near close to winning the CL and then there's the uncertainty about Pirlo as well.

Yeah you’ve said so a few times now.

Not sure why it’s so perplexing for you bud, just look how our forwards have been performing this season.

At the very least he would be a huge upgrade on Cavani.

We are talking about one of the most elite finishers in history. Not Scweinsteiger or Falcao.

All those on here saying they'd take a 35 year old Ronaldo at high wages need to get one thing straight...he's 36 now.

So because our strikers are underperforming we should get Ronaldo, a 36 year old striker (thanks @King7Eric), who'll command wages of £400k+?

Who's to say he'll perform?

Also, 3 players have played the ST role for us this season, 19 year old Greenwood, Cavani at 34 who didn't have a preseason and playing in the EPL for the first time and Martial - nothing much to say there. So really, we've set quite a low bar there.

Cristiano seems willing to come back to Madrid.
It's his wish and has said to his closest circle.
His enviroment says "It depends on them, anything can happen".
He knows that Madrid's objectives in the market are different but he is aware that if the season is not good, titles are not won, or Haaland or Mbappé cannot be signed, his return may be possible.

You somehow think United wouldn't make more money from Ronaldo signing than if he didn't?

Pretty much the biggest superstar in world football signing with the biggest club in the world where you can spin a marketing campaign akin to The Last Dance.

I don't know enough about our marketing revenue to even talk about that aspect.

Am talking about his salary requirements, which every top player at the club will aim for at contract renewal. If not parity, they'll expect to be close to that, e.g. DDG's salary following Sanchez's arrival.

Some posters seem to think he'll hit the ground running and therefore let's just pay up and bring him back. That's also what am addressing, who's to say he will.

Biggest club? Not anymore.

United's the biggest club. Unless you're on the Mediterranean coast or maybe South America.

Juventus didn't bring him as a the man to make the difference, otherwise they would have given him a proper supporting cast. They brought him in to elevate their profile because they've never been as successful as the Milan clubs in terms of international appeal.

It worked to some degree. However, he can only satisfy his own brand's demands in the Champions' League because the league has lost an enormous amount of popularity. The Premier League viewership numbers give you that week in, week out.

Just heard on Skip and shennon that Ronnie makes $3-4M per one Instagram post. Wow!

Yes we have, that’s exactly the point.

If you expect Ronaldo to not perform then he will prove you wrong wherever he ends up.

The fact is his finishing ability is above anything we will get, excluding Haaland who is on a constant upward trajectory.

I’d prefer Haaland due to Ronaldo’s age, if we can’t get Haaland I’d be absolutely buzzing with Ronaldo as a stop gap for the next two years.

Unsurprisingly, top clubs have started to get linked with him this season. As much as he showed potential in the past two seasons, he's starting to partially deliver this season. I wouldn't be surprised if the bigger clubs were already monitoring him but may now be scouting him with more interest this time around.

I will say that he's still quite raw and still has to refine his game some more, so don't expect him to instantly deliver for a big club.
