As announced on Téléfoot and Goal, all that remains is the medical examination to fulfill the loan of Moussa Dembele to Atletico Madrid. West Ham positioned itself in recent days without convincing the player.

Other than Sport Witness, who got a sh*t tonne of unwarranted abuse, has anyone else brought Romano up on that ?

Well done to Romano getting that news out there after another journalist had put it out there.

I've always assumed that Romano and Bouhafsi have the same contacts (ie agents). They often put out stories in unison, which can be about players right across the continent and everything they write is always transfer-related. Di Marzio is exactly the same.

Other the other hand, you have 'local beat' type journalists, who write a range of different types of story, usually centred on a few clubs in a specific geographical area (eg Manchester), with info seemingly garnered from contacts on the ground. Most of this lot are on a paper (while the other group are largely Twitter-centric or at broadcasters).

They all get stuff wrong, of course, especially when it comes to transfers, which seems to be a sea of half-truths, disinformation and outright lies.

Redemption by Napoli? Too soon to talk about it, there are still so many things to see. Neither the club nor the player spoke to each other. Staying in Naples would be a good chance. We will see at the end of the season. However, Napoli has priority over his future for June.

That's basically what he does, I can't remember the last story he brought.
Wow wow wow he’s reliable on Italian football so you must believe everything he says ok! That man is a god of football transfers.

I’ve broken my nose more times than Romano has broken transfer news...

I don't know why Juventus are necessarily going after him. He's had good moments, but to me, he doesn't offer too much up front.

From the video i saw he looks more like a winger.
He isn't, he's a number 10. He is capable of operating in a wide position and has certainly taken up positions for Brest there this season, but he's typically starting at number 10 or another sort of advanced midfield role. Brest have quite a fluid attacking game though so you would see him move around a lot.
From the little I've seen of him, that's what I thought he was. Mahrez like.
Wouldn't agree with this at all. And I say this having seen everyone one of Fairve's games this season.
Discount version of Grealish. I’d very much doubt we have any interest what so ever.
I think this a far more appropriate description. Naturally a number 10 but will take up some wide positions in the game at times.

As for whether or not he's good enough for us, no. He isn't. Not right now anyway. He would have been an upgrade last season on the likes of Lingard or Pereira as a backup to Fernandes, but not now with the amount of options we have. He'd get lost in the squad. Having said that, I rate him a lot and he's definitely one of 3/4 Brest players that are probably good enough for the Premier League. I'd rate him as the second most impressive Brest player this season. However I don't think he's be any higher than an upper midfield team in the league currently, however you never know if he keeps improving. If Villa were to sell the likes of Grealish I could see Faivre doing well there. Or at the likes of Southampton or Leicester.

He only just joined anyway so I don't see anything in this atm. Selfishly I hope he doesn't. he'd so well as a backup for PSG in this league for sure.

Everything is closed with a Premier League club for Moisés Caicedo, today he’s getting his work visa and between Wednesday-Thursday we announce it.

Cheers for the info. I only saw the Saint-etienne game, thought he drifted wide a lot and was given a free roam a bit. Just who he reminded me of, but good to be corrected.

You're not wrong is the sense that he does have a free-role at times for sure. As I said he certainly would go wide, particularly on the right but whereas Mahrez is a player that tends to start out wode and cut inside, Fairve would be bit more akin to a Grealish.
