That depends on whether Origi himsefl would be willing to go to Schalke. They're in such a bad state right now that I doubt that any good player would want to go there.Feck me, knowing our luck they will even get Schalke to pay a fee.

Mangiante's pretty good when it comes to Italian transfer rumours. I can't say much about him for non-Italian stories, though.
Out of all of that, I'd only pay attention to his mentions on Dybala, Pogba, and Caicedo (Caicedo has some interest from AC Milan).
Is Origi a good player? He barely gets minutes for LiverpoolThat depends on whether Origi himsefl would be willing to go to Schalke. They're in such a bad state right now that I doubt that any good player would want to go there.
I find the links to not be that strong, too. My guess is that they're based on our past interest. Nowadays, with Bruno, I struggle to see how we can really fit in both him and Dybala unless we sack Ole and bring in a manager who doesn't necessarily rely on wingers for width (Allegri?).Would be surprised if we wanted Dybala as got the feeling he wasn't that keen on the move last time
He's not necessarily world class, but he's not a bad player, either. He can do way better than Schalke, definitely. Is Origi a good player? He barely gets minutes for Liverpool
This is according to a Florence based outlet. He's thus far refused to sign a new contract and his current one runs out in 2022. So Fiorentina are willing to sell for €25m.
He's aerially very dominant and has decent pace for a CB that is 6'4.

Whenever I've watched Fiorentina, he comes across as an aggressive defender who likes to play on the front foot. He's pretty good in the box and can win headers as Adnan mentioned, and he has some pace though isn't necessarily a speedster. He's also decent on the ball though not expansive. One of my worries with him is that his more aggressive style does leave him prone to ball-watching, kind of like Maguire, so I'm not sure of how well he can complement Maguire.Does anyone knoe how good this guy is compared to the likes of Torres/Badashile

I haven't followed Fiorentina since so not sure. But from what I've read about him he seems to be playing plenty of games as a CB.Does he still play RB as well? I remember when we were first linked, he was playing there a lot. You were a very big fan at the time! @mazhar13 if you know as well?
He plays at right back way less often nowadays. He's now an established CB.Does he still play RB as well? I remember when we were first linked, he was playing there a lot. You were a very big fan at the time! @mazhar13 if you know as well?
I'd say that he's been Schalke's best player this season. He and the rest of the club are just going through a terrible mental slump at the moment. They play hard but then lose belief way too often during their matches. Kabak will look way better in a more settled club than Schalke. There’s been a reasonable amount of noise about kabak being lovren’s eventual replacement since he was sold in the summer but I’m quite wary of this potential signing.
Has looked distinctly underwhelming whenever I’ve watched him this season with multiple (dare I say it, lovren-esque) errors though that may just be because Schalke have been disastrous this season.
I do have considerable amount of faith in our scouting setup though so I wonder what data they have on him since they clearly think he suits the style statistically.

Indeed.File that one under 'load of shite'.
Deal done according to Ecuadorian sources
Moisés Caicedo will be Red Devil, the player's agents, Manchester United and IDV representatives, reached an agreement between the parties. Caicedo will have to sign in the following hours, before the new contracting rules of the Premier are applied
Varane ?Who the feck would we want from Madrid that they would want to swap.

I doubt they would want to get rid of him, more likely to play with Pogba. There's plenty of players I'd have, but not sure Real would allow in the deal.Valverde would be the stand out
Vinicius maybe, or MendyWho the feck would we want from Madrid that they would want to swap.
Odegaard? Would be our Mata replacement.Who the feck would we want from Madrid that they would want to swap.

To be fair, Hateboer did talk about looking for a new club last summer, so getting Maehle in now would allow Atalanta to let Hateboer leave. He has the potential to be much more than a back-up at Atalanta. And Hateboer is still only 26.
Unless the latter is leaving, it’s a bit of a strange transfer.
