It’s the nature of his profession. If his suitors aren’t coming up with decent offers then it is what it is.
Then probably he can now sit on his contract, we will pay him to do nothing and then he can leave and we get nothing. Great business.

I can honestly say that I still have no idea who we have signed today. This has been the oddest transfer period that I can remember.

Reputation under this regime is finished.

Rio coming out not long ago, Smalling being messed around & Sergio now 3rd choice being toyed with.

From a non-United perspective it is very difficult to like the club currently, utterly shambolic treatment of players imo.

Are you stating as a neutral fan it's hard to like the club? Why would a neutral fan like the club? As a United fan, it's hard as hell to like the club at the moment. We are so fecking inept at doing basic things. How on earth does Woodward and Judge get away with their performances of running the club and transfers.

Roma’s fault that if this doesn’t go in time. Pay up the money in the first place and this doubt won’t be happening

Why can a player from South America get a work permit but one from Italy cannot? Is it an age thing? I don't understand these situations. In America, people just come from anywhere and work for cold hard cash or use a fake social security number.

Romero's wife having a point aside - why can't spouses of some folks just stay the feck out of another adult's professional life? Seen it so many times at work too and ive yet to see that be to the employee's benefit.

Tbf Roma made a lot of mistakes too. If you want to buy one of Serie A s top defender you don't offer 9.5million. Then there was the discrepancy between what was verbally agreed and the actual offer (ie 15m vs 3m loan +12m obligation to but).

At times I wondered whether they really wanted to sign him or not.

Why are Dortmund And Sancho’s reps bemused exactly? I wouldn’t expect a straight forward deal if i or someone i was negotiating with were to stick to a pre-covid valuation in a post-covid world.

The management of the club is rightly being blamed for how they’ve planned and managed the whole transfer window, but I wouldn’t say they handled this particular deal in a shoddy way.

It was too much money at this moment in time. Dortmund are moaning but they must have known they likely wouldn't get that money in the current climate.

Even by our standards it's quite impressive that we have managed to 'strengthen' the only two outfield positions we really could have lived with for the season, Telles the only silver lining.
