Depends if other clubs except offers way below what they want.

Should throw in some cases of wine and a few boxes of watches or whatever tat United help advertise, maybe that might help.

It's really comedy the way Woodward and crew do transfers.

But they will get at least one over the line this week.....surely!!!

So Roma are planning to take Dalot to knock down Smalling's price? Fair play to them.

You can agree with that, and that's your prerogative. It is one of the main reasons why United never sell players when their value is high, which was the original question.

Lots of United fans held the same opinion about Lingard after 2017-18 which in hindsight was the best time to sell him.

They want the loan fee for Dalot to be included in the Smalling transfer fee.

Lazio almost certainly paid us 1-2m loan fee to take Pereira.

Basically loan Dalot for free? Not too bad if you ask me. If Roma get Dalot to do well on loan, his market value can increase when we sell him next season. Better than him stuck by, and play a handful of useless games to see his value tank.

Dembele situation feels a bit like Di Maria. Doesn't really want to leave and being forced out. On top of that he doesn't have a great injury record and didn't he throw a hissy fit when Dortmund wouldn't sell him to Barca?

If we get him I hope it is a loan with an option to buy, not obligation.
Feels like a Woodward signing more than a Solskjaer signing tbh

There’s no way in a hundred years that it would be an obligation to buy. If it is I will eat an edible hat. Maybe a hat shaped cake, but I won’t enjoy it.

WOW, talk about not being able to see the wood for the trees :confused:

It would never even happen in normal times but in today's climate if an EFL clubs pays €20m for Smalling I will stand on top of Old Trafford singing Glory Glory Man United wearing nothing but a United branded facemask and a United branded Christmas bauble hanging from the fella downstairs.
 
Really don’t fancy getting Dembele on loan. He reminds me of an 18 year old Ronaldo. While that might sound like a weird thing to not want, Ronaldo at that age was incredibly exciting but incredibly frustrating, at the end of his blistering runs there was often a touch too much or a cross to nobody or a weak shot at the keeper.

I had little issue with it back then because he was 18 and one for the future. Dembele is 23 and that future isn’t with us.
 
I’m still not buying these Dembele rumours.. Absolutely smacks of a Sancho smokescreen tactic
