So if we get Sancho for reported €120m, considering that City have a sell-on clause, will we effectively be financing their Torres acquisition?

Why would it matter though? Shouldn't we get him because of it?
It was an interesting observation, no need to get your knickers twisted because of it.

Right winger that had a good individual season at Valencia, going for less than €30m is interesting. Wonder why we can't do deals like this...

Wanted first team football, so signs for Lille.....who then sends him on loan to the Bottom half of the Primeira Liga, Boavista. Makes sense.

We have our own strengths too, which other PL club can point to a couple £100m talents in Rashford and Greenwood all of whom we got for free. If you look at the impact Rashford, Greenwood, McTominay and William's have had I think it balances out in the end.

We overpay for the players we need but we have a you set up that gives us two superstars, a potential DM for the next ten years and a utility player. That is before the likes of Tuanzebe and Henderson are factored in. How much is that in saved transfer fees?

It is very strange, you would have thought if he had insisted on a loan for him to sign a new contract then we would have done it rather than lose a potentially multi-million pound asset.

So because we got a lot of talent coming through we should not try to get good talent for cheap as well? Are those two mutually exclusive?

With Brentford failing to reach the premiership, that lad, Benrahma will be the selling block i presume?
