There are only two main things in a transfer: personal terms and transfer fees. If neither is finalised, how is any official announcement likely anytime soon?
What a weird tweet.
Exactly this!! So tired of nonsense reports that it should be finalised soon when those two minor details are not agreed.

NOS is like the BBC in Holland, Dutch national tv. I doubt they are bullshitting.

It doesn’t matter who it is. You are missing the point. If there is no transfer fee agreed and no personal terms agreed, how can the transfer be imminent?

Because they have information that all parties involved are confident a deal is close.

Is it me or Romano tends to tweet minutes after some other reliable media/journo post the news and seems to show he knew it all. Its bit weird for a guy to have so many sources across different league and scoops to every transfer story ever.

I’m assuming all parties know what the fees/wages involved will be and it’s just about sitting down and finalising it. I saw Ajax fans say they can’t do anything major before Monday and players don’t sit out friendlies for no reason.

Dont agree with others that similar players, very different to me, though still strange signing both. I guess these two players offer cover/competition for four of the front six positions and possibly even DM too, though dont really see VDB there.....it does to me if we sign both though surely mean no Sancho?

40 days left but only a couple weeks to the start of the season. Granted we may sign our targets, it be nice if we get them in and integrated with the team before our first game.

If he was English playing the the PL he’d be £80m.

One of the best young prospects in world football going for 20 odd million.

Why aren't Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, PSG interested then?

Do La Liga even have jurisdiction on this? They would say this as its in their interest to keep Messi in La Liga, want to keep the money inside Spain and presumably are bent towards Barcelona anyway?

I'd assume it was matter for the courts.

Donny van de Beek will leave Ajax for Manchester United. He will sign for 5 years. Transfer fee: €45M.

They threatened to refuse accepting Neymars legal buyout payment from PSG.
Theyre all mouth, it shows the favourtism theories in La Liga holds some weight. They need, and want, the big sides and players there.

100%. When it was announced falsely recently that we signed some Serbian 17 years old winger, he tweeted soon after to say it was all but done. Few hours later was revealed as fake news

Because only English players go for inflated prices.

I personally think we tend to overrate foreign players and more often than not, most people haven't even seen them play.

To me, a player is worth what their club values them at. If 20M is what his club values him at, then so be it.

Does beg the question why teams all over Europe aren't in for him though if he's that special and cheap.

They were very much interested. He was nailed on for Real Madrid and linked with them for the whole season. Barcelona links could be due to Koeman, but Real's interest was genuine. Maybe COVID hit harder the spanish giants than originally thought.

It’s because he’s been weirdly deified as some sort of transfer genius, when he’s just an above average journalist with just as many links (or few) as every other guy worth his salt in the industry. Blame the Reddit nerds and their tier-lists. He’s very flavour of the week, btw. It used to be Di Marzio about a year or two ago.

40m pounds is quite a bit. I hoped for 30m. Ajax got a good deal out of it, no wonder Real and Barca kept away

Inter-Kolarov is still ongoing. Kolarov wants two years, but Inter are offering one year plus one year as an option.

Was that debunked? I thought he was coming here next year?
Only Andy Mitten has spoken against it, and he said that sources within United have denied the transfer. No one else has brought up anything about this transfer since. Make of that what you will.

Verweij mentions that the fee includes all of the bonuses.

I think they were but with him being 18 he wants to stay in Italy at the minute. Inter, AC and Juve all reportedly in for him. He’s the biggest prospect in Italy for some years apparently.

Bayern are expecting an offer for Thiago.

EDIT: Romano interprets this as other clubs also being interested in Thiago.
