Memphis casts some doubt over his future.

Quote:
I do not see the future, I do not know if I will complete the season here. I have been here for 4 years, I became captain. At the end of the day, you have to look at your career, there is no Champions league. At the moment I don't know.

The potential transfer merry-go-round that could happen in Serie A:

To sum it up:
  • Napoli want Under, and Roma want Milik
  • If the trade happens, it can allow for Dzeko to leave for Juventus
  • Milik still wants to go to Juventus but can only do so via swaps
  • Juventus continue to monitor Suarez's situation

I love the amount of purchasing between Italian clubs. They dont seem as bothered as English clubs when it comes to selling players to rivals in the same league.

I wonder what the most one club have ever spent in a transfer window is, and if Chelsea are potentially going to go higher than it?

I think that record is held by Real Madrid when they spent around £275 m in 2019 on Hazard and three or four other expensive recruits. That record won't be broken unless Chelsea buy Declan Rice as well as a new GK.

If adjusted for inflation, it would probably be the summer of 2009 when Madrid bought Ronaldo, Kaka, Arbeola, Alonso, Benzema and a few others in what was a dream window with worldie incomings.

I’ve always thought if you’re happy to sell a player then surely you deem them not good enough for your team. So why would you care about them moving to another English club?

If they buy Havertz then that would take the spending to £200m, throw in Rice who will go for no less than £60m then you are definitely getting close.
The Havertz deal looks to be rumbling on due to money however.

and yet we all want the best for him and hope he makes a speedy transfer to Dortmund. Bless him always.
Yes, uhumm, top professional is Memphis, Dortmund should snap him up immediately.

Do they know he can rap as well? Oh yeah, hidden depths that boy has.

God he’s a bellend isn’t he. Who puts Mr T chains on over your kit before having an interview.

Self absorbed and underwhelming.
He is a bellend and I would be surprised if Borussia went for him.

He is indeed a top professional

Was gunna say this. Also Raul Albiol who was about £30m as well.

I remember being so relieved when they signed Kaka thinking that would put an end to the Ronaldo speculation only for it to go through a few weeks after.

Benzema and Alonso alone would have been an impressive summer considering the service they got from those 2.

Wow. Rodrigo is a fantastic player.

Nah he really isn’t. The kind of player that struggles and end up back in Spain within 18 months, joining Getafe on loan before signing for 6M the year after. What it is, 12 goals in the last 60 games in La Liga? Really, really poor.

PSG with Neymar and Mbappé in the same window surely. Mbappé was ’Loan’ though.

Roberto Soldado vibes.

Wasn’t Rodrigo touted to madrid and Barcelona a couple of seasons back?

When an ex-player plays against you they somehow often raise their game just for that match.

I dont think he wants to leave. Maybe he's content in picking up about 70k a week and playing the odd cup game.
I’m so thankful for our policy of over-paying squad players. It’s proven time and again to be an absolutely flawless and full-proof strategy.
