Makes sense that Maitland-Niles is going to Wolves now. With Doherty going to Spurs (good signing, by the way), you'd expect AMN to be Wolves' first choice right wing back.

Maybe we just know he isn't interested?
Perhaps but he was before and Liverpool seemed reluctant to pay the £30M, meanwhile we aren't even getting linked to a CM, all we are getting are endless Sancho recycling and covid excuses, I just hope fans realize that there's a gulf between Liverpool, City and the rest, Chelsea are the only team trying to claw them back, if nothing gets done in the next month then what follows isn't on Ole.

Would happily pass on Jack for him but unfortunately the scousers will have this one sewn up like they did with Fabinho

He was highly rated in the Serie A before he came to us...

Even after, I remember Inter, Juve, and I believe another team was trying to sign him. I think I saw him play once, and he seemed to still be solid. Hope he gets his dream move.

Inter and Brescia finally come to an agreement over Sandro Tonali.

Sandro will go to Inter on a loan with an obligation to buy (30 million Euros + 5 million in bonuses).

So many deals happening for reasonable fees. So much for the whole narrative that you need 50 million for every signing.

Why so cheap?! Is his contract nearing end? Tonali is mega talented. He's basically a Pirlo regen.
And you'd think that's the sort of player we really need to improve the build up play. But nah, we have zero creativity in our transfer business.

These fees go up when United are involved.
We got Blind for a reasonable fee. Liverpool got Allison for a huge fee and Robertson for a small fee. It depends on the deal. The United premium is not as significant as made out to be and much has to do with talent identification and us setting precedents which we only have to reverse.

It's almost like even the usual bullshit merchants realise making up a rumour about us buying someone this summer is so ridiculous that there's no point.

Have you watched him play to make that statement ? Because he's absolutely not a Pirlo regen. He runs / tackles much more than Pirlo. And his passing is nowhere near Pirlo yet.

The only thing I can tell myself (ignoring our usual incompetence) is that we know he wants to stay in Italy. I dunno if that's true but I can imagine it being the case.

I don't like him but he's not totally unreliable. Most recent one he got right being Doherty to Spurs also first to report Chelsea's interest in Maignan. He's not the only one saying Messi prefers going to City. Same reports in Spain etc.
Actually Castles' been the best City source for last 3 years.

Story checks out. Please make me a mod for a day I will permanently ban anybody with the mentaility of a 9 year old who posts "chelski" or "Shity" or "Liverpoo".

Cech is a key element I think, big advantage having an insanely intelligent and articulate guy that speaks like 57 languages dealing with clubs, agents and players.
Whilst Cech is an element of making these transfers happen, I think the money is probably a bigger incentive for them to join!!
All three are on a massive wage increase from previous clubs, all three would see Chelsea as an upgrade, so doesn't really need much convincing,
Also, no one else really seemed to be in for any of the the players mentioned giving you a free run.

So at the moment the only two players we’re being somewhat linked to are Sancho and Badiashile, right?

I hate these cryptic tweets, because they are designed to let people's wild imaginations run amok. Ordinarily I would look at Sid's tweet and think it's about Havertz or Silva about to be announced, but we've known that's happening for a long time now, so if it's not that, I wonder what it is. Chelsea fans in the replies are obviously going crazy with gifs of Oblak and pictures of Messi in a Chelsea kit.

Can be anything.

You have a big thank you to give city's lawyers for ending ffp.

He posted that just after retweeting an article saying Chilwell had signed. I think you’ll get a keeper in but doubt it’ll be Oblak.
