Disagree, he martialled a side who comfortably took apart Spurs and is comfortably better than Johnny Evans or Soyuncu, who were part of one of the best back fours in the league (note back four and not teams who play with a back three). Also as @Orc mentioned they hugely missed kante who would shield the back four. He will easily improve Chelsea's defence.I don’t think he’s the right profile of signing for them at all personally and believe he is likely to be eaten alive in the PL, especially under Lampard’s stewardship where defenders are left exposed.
We were calamitous at the back defending set pieces, crosses and corners. Also looked generally disorganized. An older, highly experienced CB should certainly help those things.
He'll 100% need to have the right sort of personell around him, though. Zouma is our quickest and most mobile CB so I'm going to guess he'll be Silva's primary partner should we sign him.
Plus, Kante missed literally 50% of the last season. Having him healthy would help a 36 year old defender. I don't see any downsides to this move. Stopgap until buying Rice or Upamecano next summer.

It’s the old use United’s name to drum up interest in players that a club desperately wants to sell.
Gordon Ramsey would be good as a motivational assistant manager
Was thinking that but based on reporting it seemed he had medical lined up for arsenal. Fee agreed and allIt’s the old use United’s name to drum up interest in players that a club desperately wants to sell.

I'd take Ramsey at a maximum of 35 million. Good, versatile player. Always liked him.
Also have to remember that we won't have Kepa between the sticks letting in nearly every shot that goes near him and failing miserably to command his area.At best, I see him having a Blanc-esque impact. Generally easy to expose but - as you say - possibly quite effective with the right system and personnel. Adds more fuel to the fire that Lampard is building a mansion with rickety foundations.
Not for me. Turned us down years back, don't want to be giving him a final pay day. Always seemed an arrogant little prick to me.I'd take Ramsey at a maximum of 35 million. Good, versatile player. Always liked him.
I hope you're paying from your pocket cos the club don't have much to waste on a crock.I'd take Ramsey at a maximum of 35 million. Good, versatile player. Always liked him.
That ship sailed a long time ago for me.I'd take Ramsey at a maximum of 35 million. Good, versatile player. Always liked him.
I'm guessing a lot of people don't know Ramsey's current wage, then?
Not at 40m@Inigo Montoya still not fancy Ramsey?

Spot onRamsey isn't worth anything because if his wages, the best Juve could do this window is getting him off their wage bill.

It's more depressing that there are some that are excited by the tweet. We have fans that believe everything they see written down. It really is baffling.
The transfer window does something to our fans. It's mental the effect it has.
The depressing bit is that we are that crap we have stories linked to crap.Even more depressing is the fact that there are people actually believe the corriere story
