The spurs team from last summer is a lot better than our current squad and they have potchettino pulling off miracles whilst we have Solskjear who has so far a poor record in England as a manager.

I disagree. You’re confusing their first team and their squad. There squad last season was relatively poor in depth, they resorted to playing their youth players quite regularly in midfield. Skipp, Winks etc. and they really benefited from the minutes they were given.

This year they’re doing good work to add depth in midfield just as I expect us to do next year.

James Cooper saying Everton don't want to pay the fee we want for Rojo, haggling still ongoing.

We're not shifting him on, again ffs.

Of course that sounds about right. He will feel like a new signing when this deal falls through.

They made zero additions last year, had a net spend of around breakeven, yet have put performed United who have a net spend of around half a billion in that time.

So maybe just maybe, spending money doesn’t actually achieve shit, maybe our coaches have a plan in place especially with the kids coming through? Please do feign outrage as spurs, the one team that’s never invested big, invest for the first time.
I can't wait to see this mystery plan our coaches supposedly have in place. Shall we start believing in Santa Claus too?

You really believe that we'll be competing with the top 4 off the back of a few academy kids?

How long before Woodward sends an article for the Guardian and BBC to release about how we tried for all these top players? I'd give it 24 hours. Friday morning I guarantee the Guardian will have an article explaining how we tried for midfielders but saw no value/really believe in the younger players.

You're aware you can have a plan but still finish out of top 4?

why is he misleading the fans? sorry I'm not really following

Because the narrative coming out, with his support, is that he's happy with the squad and convinced the youngsters are ready to step up and replace those that have left. We'll see if he follows through with this belief in youth, or whether we'll be seeing the usual suspects doing feck all, all season long.

What about if he will play them? Will you eat the humble pie?
Topreds stuff is cringeworthy too. So whoever fancies Ole is a supposed topred?

110% yes. If, after the first 10 or so league games, we are seeing less of Mata, Jlingz, Youngy, Matic and co......and the likes of Gomes, Greenwood and Chong are getting healthy minutes on a fairly regular basis (doesnt have to be every game), I'll happily take my licks.

However. If we're still seeing Mata coming on for Lingard (rather than Mason or Gomes), after 10 games or so - will YOU and other (insert the name you lads hate) fans do the same?

Lukaku confirmed Inter

Lukaku's not for everyone either... match made in heaven.

I'd wish him all the best as it wasn't really his fault we kept playing him when he was clearly an unfit donkey. However, with his antics in the last week or so, now it's just good riddance.

Dunno dude, they had perhaps the best striker in the world, a very good midfield, decent defense, decent keeper and a settled manager. They didnt need to spend, we arent there, no where near it, we have sorted our defence and have prospects in attack but the midfield is so so poor. I dont think we are anything like in a comparable situation where not spending is viable.
Spura lost twenty (!) Games in all competitions last summer and barely scraped fourth despite United taking half a season off.
They were running on fumes for large steteches of last season, they're not as stable as it may look IMO.

I as a TOPRED solemnly SWEAR I will EAT a humble pie if I see Mata COMING in for JLingz. 115 percent (if that's even possible)

Not a very good plan then is it?

If we don't make top 4 which should be the minimum for our club, then it's all just excuses at the end isn't it?

No, I'm thinking tomorrow afternoon. We'll keep it back for a few hours because the main stories will be devoted to new signings.

We will want the propaganda piece to receive as much attention as possible, it'll be released later in the day tomorrow.

And it was probably written on Monday or earlier.

I'm honestly not mad at him at all despite hating him as a footballer. Good luck for him there. He got what he wanted.

You're mixing a plan how to play, tactics and all with transfers.

Spurs have lost their best right back and they are about to lose their best player in Eriksen. Also lost Llorente who was very useful. They have stumbled about trying to buy Fernandes, Coutinho and Dybala and have failed. Not as good a window for them as many on here seem to think.
