I can assure you it will be once Lukaku goes, especially after @Wumminator created a thread on here about how we've spent everyone this summer. City, Arsenal and Wolves are already ahead in that scenario. If Lo Celso moves to Spurs and Everton sign Zaha, they also leapfrog us.
I'm saying the media will certainly keep it really hush hush or just inflate our other transfers by adding wages, signing on fee's etc;

Just seen Everton offer £30m for Iwobi. Feck me. Can we offer them Lingard for £50m?

Too much? No, too little.

Ben Yedder only had one season good enough for the desired level, and he’s 29. Newcastle asked for 50 for Longstaff. Not sure why you think they’d sell for 35 with 3 days of the window remaining
alright, since yere all being pedantic, 43.5m for partey or 40 for doucoure and mandzukic for 15m.

honestly, was more so just commenting on how there are players available that we could use the lukaku money on but instead we're banking it.

I don't think every footballer concerns themselves with location no but I do think a very high % of modern day players do and that % goes higher when it comes to players from abroad coming to England and players of a South American background even higher again.

Old Trafford is a better stadium than Stamford Bridge, not sure why you felt the need to bring it up. I'm not a deluded, blinkered opposition fan.

What you wrote about "what he needs" is effectively a load of guff unless you have spoken to the man directly or know him. You seem slightly in the past with comments like this. The majority of modern day players don't care about their place in history.

Well if Pogba and Ibra "knew" United wouldn't be without CL football "for long" they were wrong weren't they.
But you are a deluded opposition fan who thinks Spurs has a better stadium as compared to us.

Which is why I decided to remind you, this isn't Stamford Bridge. Your stadium is definitely not as good as Spurs' stadium but ours is called 'Theatre of Dreams' for a reason. Hope you get it this time

Secondly, have you spoken to the man directly as well? Cuz you seem to think Dybala presumes that Spurs have most things 'better' as compared to United.
Our conversations are based on our general theoretical ideas/assumptions of what we think might be going on so yes, you may consider my words as a load of guff but it definitely sounds more factual as compared to your predictions.

As far as the Pogba/Ibra example goes, you once again missed the point. It's not the fact that they were wrong or not. It's the fact that players would not doubt our clubs ambitions as much as they might doubt Spurs'.

Also, quick question, do you think Hazard didn't care about Real Madrids place in history when he left your club even though Madrid played horribly last season and do not look as promising as Barca/Atletico at the moment? Obviously not.

So please get your knowledge right before you start taking everything so personally and try having a factual conversation if you wish to keep this exchange going. :D

Why do we always take our transfers to the last day? It's been going on for years now. It happens once or twice, fine, maybe there were some complications. But if it happens every fecking year for 6,7 years, then it shows the sheer incompetence of people involved.

One of the reason last season was written of by Dec was because it was seen as an opportunity for Ole to assess the team and decide who to buy and who to sell. And after spending almost 8 months assessing and planning, we signed a guy from the championship who plays predominantly as a LW, a CB who we were looking at since last year by paying more than what Leicester were demanding last year, a winger converted FB who had 1,1 and half good to great seasons and who was the most obvious choice. We have failed to replace Herrera, who we knew was going to leave. We don't have a proper DM despite it being very clear that Matic is not good enough. We STILL have no RW. And our striker is about to leave and we are going to pay 88 mill for a player who is average at best.

So what was Ole doing all that time? And if Ole did identify the weakness, what was Woody doing messing around? Where is the DOF?

If Lukaku to Inter materializes, then there's a real possibility of United net spend being lower than City, Arsenal, Spurs, Wolves and Everton this summer.

So same as last summer then. It would seem like the Glazers arent willing to invest heavily in the squad anymore.

I reckon the Rom money has already been used on Maguire mate.

That leaves us with a similar net spend to last year.

Well all the nonsense is coming to the fore.

I'd be surprised if Utd could.get an agreement formalised with all parties and over the line in one day. Think we're done.

Inaki williams would show me that the club is actually committed to success and buying the right players. Williams would be the best right winger for our current team. Hoping these rumours are true.

Watford literally just rejected 30 Million for Doucoure. No way are they accepting 40 from us.

We’re not done yet people. You’re all just being conservative to avoid disappointment. Even if we don’t get anyone else, who cares. We make do with what we’ve got for now!

Considering he's fecking useless, throwing a hissy fit, not turning up to training AND not wanted by any team that'll play decent football.

Ed's actually done very well to get 75m

they leave transfers late because they think it will save a few million I think.

I wonder if getting the Lukaku money back will mean a big bonus for Ed at the end of the year, he's also managed to get a lot of the fans hyped about him going as well, I don't know how he does it.

Take that Lukaku deal - it's the best offer we are going to get within 24hrs by a long shot. He needs to go, we cannot have him earning his salary for a full season sulking and causing disruption. Those bridges are burned.

Every penny will be going into the Glazers pockets anyway so no need to quibble over another few million.

It may be the same fee as before, but Inter are getting a better pound for pound deal.

F*ked aren’t we?

£70m net again. At least next summer we’ll have £220m to spend when pogba leaves..

Sancho, Longstaff and £50m for a striker

ok, 45m would surely get him ? even 50, him and mandzukic would still be under the price of lukaku.
there are other examples you could make. too late now anyway.

Praying that this is true

Inaki has been one of the best kept talents in Spain the last few years. He would instantly solve the black hole known as our right flank in attack

Isn't he a bit of a hit and run merchant? We have enough of those already.

With Lukaku likely to be sold before the English Deadline. It must increase the chances of a replacement being signed. If there was no intention to sign anyone else I don't think this deal would of been done 24 hrs before the deadline.

I think it will be even less. I predict we will be able to somehow sell Darmian and Rojo at least, which would take it closer to £40m. What a joke.
