We need to just accept this and let him move on. He does not want to be here and has fallen out with the coach and some players. Just move him on please!

I think that is what Lukaku and Inter want, so we sell him at a price less than what we want. It will be interesting if Inter do stump up the money that we are asking for tonight, or tomorrow, that would show they were trying to string us along all the time. I actually applaud our negotiator's for staying strong, and not yielding, if that is the case. Wouldn't be surprised to see a last minute Zaha bid go in if we sell Lukaku.

Would theoretically cost us less than 80 million right? With our sell on clause. Did Zahra play under Ole at Cardiff?

Would it be 60m for us? Not sure but yeah he did play for Ole . I like him and I'd prefer him in our side than Lingard and Mata.

I do not see Zaha being worth anywhere near that level of investment, given his numbers season on season. Talented, but not a player to supercharge a CL attack.
He isn't on an individual level, but is regarding his impact on keeping Palace in the PL. Also there is the money the will have to pass onto us.

I think even at £50m it would be too much for him. I doubt he would want to come back anyway to be fair.

Luiz and Arsenal are a perfect fit. He's a total liability but good with the ball.

So predictable that we'd sell Lukaku when we can't replace him anymore. Money goes towards the Maguire transfer. Glazers are happy.

I totally understand why Palace are asking so much, he's oxygen to them.

What a joke of a statement. The only reason he didn't want it to come to handing in a transfer request is because it means he has to give up loyalty bonuses. He was perfectly happy to say he wanted to move on, he just wouldn't put it in writing because he wanted paid. The only difference is now he's desperate enough to give up the money.

Short term, selling Luiz hurts us and helps Arsenal. Think he'd be a great short term stopgap for them. In that sense it's bad business from us.

Long term I think it helps us, though. Maybe a move for Koulibaly next summer. After VVD and Maguire, buying a mega expensive CB is all the rage and we'll have a massive war chest.

Do you not think he deserves to play at a higher level? Think he has every right to hand in a transfer request as they seem to be pricing him out of a move.

That's not the point though. The only reason he didn't hand the transfer request in before is because he wanted his loyalty bonus, despite making it very clear he wanted to leave. I'm not saying he has no right to hand in a transfer request, I'm saying that making it known he wants to leave without handing in the request before then handing it in when he got desperate and pretending he didn't hand in the official request before now because of his respect is utter bollocks. If he respected them that much he would have handed in the transfer request and given up his bonus.

It is interesting United/Inter trying to get the Lukaku deal done today. Inter have 3 more weeks to sign after tomorrow 5pm. You’d hope the reason is they’ll try to spin the money to invest. Probably won’t happen sadly.

Think he deserves his loyalty bonus too considering what he has done for them
