#Lukaku to #Inter . I have confirmations of a total agreement with #United . Soon the signature, tomorrow could come to #Italia . #United try again for #Mandzukic , but the negotiation remains difficult.

Who is she??

Pretty sure I can manage but you can't deny he is pulling and tugging far more than most.

I give 0 fecks how much he's pulling and tugging, I'm not some sort of purist.

In fact, I'm lying. Let me correct this. The more he's pulling and tugging the better, because he prevents strikers getting in better positions than him or it helps him recover when they do. So in my book, he's not pulling or tugging enough, he should do more of it.

I would be getting concerned if it starts to lead to a higher than average conceded penalties. But that hasn't happened in the 6 years I've been watching Smalling play regularly for us, despite all the moaning about it in here. And he played 10 games under VAR last season and conceded 0 pens. So if that suddenly becomes a problem I'll worry then. Rather than prejudge that it is a problem when it's not.

Wonder what the legalities are over this, surely if we have to drop our asking price then we can sue as a breach of contract was the cause of that loss.

The fact he hasn't even put a transfer request in makes it worse as he's stick owed a "loyalty" bonus, if he hands one in I'm sure we'd accept a lesser offer from Inter as then we wouldn't have to pay Lukaku anything.

He's basically being a greedy cnut.

:wenger: You're not obliged to enter into a contract with Inter, you know.

Counter attack won't work all the time, who will unlock stubborn defences, who will get us consistent goals. Who really will be our consistent attack force. So many unanswered questions from a terrible window.

You are right - we need Martial and Rashford to step up. But the fact remains - if we concede 10 goals less than last season and score equally many (which should be possible) - we will have a very good chance at top-4. Are we good enough to win the League...no net yet. But give Gomes and Greenwood 1-2 years...and we have 2 players who can do what you say we lack

Solskjaer doesn't seem to be particularly bothered about building up from the back, so the passing ability (or lack thereof) of his defenders probably won't be a concern (see AWB).

no of course not - he signed Maguire for his good looks

Completely disagree.

Just like Liverpool last year, we also fixed 2 very important issues, RB and CB. Yes, we could have added more, but you don't fix our issues in 1 transfer window.
Our owners have invested millions and millions on players that haven't worked out. That's not on them. Each manager got players that he wanted, and the next manager didn't want them which means us getting stuck with them.
Everton or Wolves don't have a far superior midfield.

They've also profited by millions and millions. They've allowed the team to get to this current position where we need so many players. I personally don't think there's been one summer since the Pogba summer where they spent the necessary amount on players. United should be spending 200m a year until they get the right team. Only then will we be able to relax and focus on the piece-meal approach. If Pogba is injured or god forbid Maguire gets injured, we're a much worse team than last year. And we'll be lucky to finish in the top 10. If we get a good midfielder, we might finish top 6, but top 4 is now beyond us. How is that acceptable for Manchester United?

I would say both Wolves and Everton have much stronger players in their midfield. If you take Pogba away, (which we'll see many times this season) Neves and Moutinho are far superior to what we have. Everton have Sigurddson and Gomes, either of whom would get in our starting 11 no problem.

Why are negotiation difficult for Mandzukic? It wasn't our fault or his fault that Dybala was being awkward.

Alright cool.

Will say this though, if he has to be pulling and tugging to get in a better position or put off a defender then hes not very good at actually defending.

It seems like United will end up with a squad almost exactly like ours at Chelsea. Very nice all over the pitch but with a gaping hole at #9. We both bought expensive strikers in the same summer and will have both sold said expensive strikers in the same summer.

If you get Mandzukic, you'll also have a "past their best," 30+ year old striker just like we did, too.

Yes, but ours will be on the bench. Rashford is the main man - as he should be

Sigh. Well we have Rashford/Martial/Greenwood

Your midfield is better for sure.

The motivation is not being a fair weather fan. How entitled can you get? By that logic, why does any fan of any team below the top 4 bother tuning in or you know, go to the stadium? Close friend of mine went away to Millwall and watched Preston get beat 1-0. Preston aren't going to get promoted this year, why do you think the travelling fans even bother making the journey and forking out?

Your post comes across very much as someone who isn't so much a fan of the sport or the club but someone who likes backing the winner and you're not interested in even bothering if you don't have some kind of assurance that you'll be cheering on a winning team.

The attitude of a majority of our fan base is embarrassing.
This is an entertainment industry. If we don’t put out an entertaining team this season, fewer people will watch. Simple as.

Of course the ones who shackle themselves to the team/TV will. But ones who can willfully avoid the disappointment that comes with watching this club for 6 years now will find better things to do with their time.

He won't though. Martial will. Don't know where people get their idea from that Rashford will play as the nine. He hasn't in pre season and won't during the season.

Actually, I think that may be another similarity between us. While you guys may have young Mason Greenwood starting this weekend, we may have young Tammy Abraham starting for us!
