Seems like the whole Maguire thing hinges on Webster to Brighton. When/if he moves, Dunk will go to Leicester which then again allows us to buy Maguire. I think most of the press is clueless when it comes to the prices quoted for Maguire, and that the deal may already be almost done, just some formalities.

On the Dybala move I'm really uncertain. Seems like there might be a chance, but hinges on if he's willing to move. Woodward is certainly wetting his pants at the opportunity though.

Can we just bid £150m for McGuire then tell Leicester to feck off after they accept the bid? Not any many (maybe even any) defenders in the current game are worth £90m, especially not McGuire.

The deal involves us taking Mandzukic & Dybala because Juve wanted Dybala + 15m for Lukaku. Mandzukic is the being bought for 15 and Dybala straight swap for Lukaku. (Or you can look at as Mandzukic for free an Lukaku + 15 for Dybala.)

Can't believe how well suckered in people have been to the Bruno story, the Portuguese media and his people have done a wonderful job of whipping up an online frenzy over him.

Deadline day we will still be trying to sign Maguire and the deal will fall through because Leicester wont have time to source a replacement

To be fair, we have been linked with him by many many sources, and ones that are usually legit too.

Before you get excited although he was not used in the social media announcement he has been given the number 15. Does seem odd though that he would not be used in the twitter announcement.

Is it though?

We're going from a starting XI player that you could try to mould into a permanet fixture of an attacking trident (with Martial and Rashford) to a stopgap solution.

Mandzukic is undeniably good. But he's also 33. Not far different from the Ibra situation we were in couple of years ago.
 
The way I'm reading this is Dybala and his agent likely feel they have bargaining power with us. They probably think they hold all the cards, but in reality he has nowhere else to go. I think Bruno is just as exciting anyway and would be happy with just him than to succumb to potentially paying players over their worth.

It was a great feeling intially and I hope this lag is just him settling his future. But if reports are true and he's asking for silly wages or buying time for other offers, we should just play hard balland slap a take it or leave it deadline's.

Pretty valuable given our unknowns up top. Martial and Rashford could score 15-20 each but they could also score less than 10.
