Agreed. If we get Maguire the window is a pass for me. Also really excited about the current group of youngsters on tour
Same here. My only concern is Cm. If Pogba stays Imo the only player that can be effective with him is Mc Tominay.
I see Fred and Pereira as a bit too soft and Matic too slow.
Up front, even if Lukaku moves on, I m optimistic. Rashford and/or Martial cf and two of James/Chong/Gomes and Greenwood on the wings. Mata or Lingard can play behind striker while Dalot can play right wing too.

I think Juve would love to offload him seem as he doesn't really fit in there anymore. He's a valuable asset but nobody seems willing to pay what they want. Gazzetta linking with us is to peak the attention of Atletico perhaps. I'm certain Ole has no interest in him.

Atletico spent their Griezmann money on Felix. I doubt they will go for him, since there is no room in the middle.

I dunno if it's just me but for the first time in a while these type of United in crisis stories actually dont feel like they have a lot of truth to them. We've made two very good singings, Maguire will surely happen, Pogba certainly aint going anywhere, Lukaku may go and if he does we've already earmarked his replacement, literally the only shred of concern is that maybe we dont sign a midfielder but who knows maybe this is the year for someone like Gomes

I'm actually pretty positive about things right now

Same - Pogba is staying, De Gea looks he ll sign a new contract, Rashford has signed, players seem happier and I think we will eventually pay what Leicester demand so we get Maguire.

And what really makes me optimistic - I Think McTominay and Pereira could really Blossom this season - not to mention Greenwood. I finally feel like we are going in the right direction with the players we have.

We are a long way from reaching top 5 in Europe, I'm still thinking of top 4 in Premiership. I really think we need more drive in Midfield this season. As Ole says we need a "Bryan Robson" in there.
I really think that our aim should be to reach 84/85 points in Premiership this season.

Fair comments, the problem is getting that type of midfielder though. The likes of Robson, Keane, Gerrard etc are legendary for a reason. It isn't like there are 5 or 6 of that type who are wanting to move to us and are realistic to for us to buy.

Plenty of South American players have done very well in the Premier League. The best striker in the country for most of the last decade hails from Argentina.

Make a list of every South American to play for us. Then comment on whether they were a success or not or perhaps hard work to manage and get back to me.

Play of the United in crisis rubbish again. When the window is closed and we don’t have anyone. Talk about it then.

I'm not sure which bit of what Ole said would be considered a "stark warning". Robson is by far the worst journalist still allowed on here.

Disregarding whether they want to play for us, I can't actually name a single player in that mold with both the footballing and leadership abilities.

French media is still desperate for Pogba to leave United, even after Marca and other Madrid mouthpieces conceded that the deal is dead!

Neymar is one of the best players in the world, even if people do not like his personality.

No, hes not, at least in my opinion. The best players in the world would elevate their clubs. Neymar doesnt. He didnt at Barcelona either. His attitude, and not his personality is part of the reason. I doubt he has a personality to be honest. He seems like a jumped up little gimp with a major inferiority complex.

Still L Equipe are generally considered more reliable than any Spanish media outlet. But much depends on who is briefing them..

The French media can feck off.

If we sell now with no proper replacement in sight, we'd officially become the biggest mugs of European football. It would be embarrassing.

Pogba ain't leaving. It's getting tiresome that media are still going about it. I think the nonsense surrounding Pogba this summer was the icing on the most boring transfer window cake for me.

If Madrid can offload James Rodriguez and one or two more soon, then I think they'll come back in for Pogba. I think they are dampening speculation now in case they don't offload a few more.

How many fecking players do Atletico want to sign?
To be fair, they did just get an absolute wedge for rodri and Griezmann. I know they spent a lot of it on Joao Felix, but I don’t think they’re all that poor.

Yeah generally depends on the journalist not the outlet.

I don´t think it´s dead yet. I didn´t feel that Marca was so outright.

I think it's definitely dead (at least for the moment), not because of United's valuation of Pogba, but because Madrid's "operacion salida" has been a total failure.

Napoli want a loan deal (with obligation to buy) for James, and I doubt Atletico can offer 50m for him even if they sell Angel Correa.
Bale is likely to stay and even if he agrees to join Spurs, it will be for peanuts considering that you would have to subsidize his wages.
Lucas Vazquez has no suitors despite the multiple leaks from Madrid to their media about "interest" from Arsenal and other clubs.
Nacho isn't going anywhere. Isco will stay, and at the moment there is no concrete interest from any club in Mariano and Mayoral.

As things stand, I doubt Madrid can spend more than 100m on midfielders this summer.

Godin and Hernandez went too, tbf. Even still - haven’t seen an overhaul this big in a while!

Atletico Madrid so far:

Joao Felix (£113m)
Alvaro Morata (£52m)
Marcos Llorente (£35.6m)
Mario Hermoso (£22.5m)
Renan Lodi (£22.4m)
Kieran Trippier (£20m)
Felipe (£18m)
Ivan Saponjic (£6.3m)
Hector Herrera (free)

Same and tbf, that's part of the reason they are special players. It isn't like there are a handful of them knocking about at all times.
