Interesting. I was a huge fan for years but last season was really disappointing. Well, he's still decent and young enough to bring us good money in case this doesn't work out.

Don’t think he’s good enough if I’m honest but an opportunity has opened for him. We’re thin in midfield. He’s a hard worker but still waiting to see the talent, bit of a headless chicken at times at top level.

Edit: On Pereira, my phone fail.

Are you talking about Fosu Mensah?:D

Ehm

Yep,getting Axel tied down to a longer contract is good work from Ole and United.
Now,hopefully we'll see him feature a fair amount this season.

Semi happy with the pereira one. He really is in the last change saloon. Butt and co rate him highly and if we give him a good run in the team can either work out or we can move him on for a decent fee. Personally not seen anything to suggest he’ll make it. Axel though

I really rate Pereira's skill set, he's just been prone to silly mistakes a bit too often. i'm not sure he has earnt a contract until 2024 but he would always sell.

So our contract extensions out number our signings, from what ole said after the Everton game when we got hammered 4-0, Ole has bottled it for me.

Extending Andreas contract makes me think we are only signing one midfielder (probably Longstaff) unless another is leaving. Pogba, Matic, Fred, Mctominay, Andreas and Longstaff competing for three positions is enough (whether they're good enough is another matter), 7 for 3 slots is too much.

Unless Ole sees Pereira as wide depth?

Mark Ogden: Nemanja Matic is seeking talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his Manchester United future after being made aware of interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan, sources have told ESPN FC.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Inter, who are also pursuing United forward Romelu Lukaku, have indicated a willingness to offer £10 million plus Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan for Matic

That's tempting.

Swapping one problem for another, but I prefer Nainggolan so feck it

We really could do without Nainggolan. Decent player, but way too much hassle. I'm glad he isn't playing for Belgium anymore. Drama follows him around.

What they're probably doing is offering Nainggolan plus 10m for Lukaku knowing them tight bastards

100 million for Lukaku, Matic and Darmian. Let's just get it over with.

We’ll probably get Longstaff + Maguire and that’ll be all provided none of Lukaku or Pogba leave.

I’m still hoping we get Fernandes as well, but it doesn’t seem likely at the moment.
