Ornstein said on BBC 5 Live apparently. Will post a link/recording should I see one.

So earlier in the window there was a plethora of offers for the little fecker and now there is only Man United?
Boy sports journalism is a farce these days.

Yep, seems totally unbelievable.

The kid needs to come here. Dutch players do well here. All of them.

Probably.

I hate the way the Madrid media make it seem as though they are trying to do other teams a favour by signing their players on the cheap.

The faux hand wringing when clubs astoundingly turn them down is really grating.

Worst time to miss out on CL football. Had we secured a top 4 position, De ligt might have actually joined us. Damn you De geaa

FC Barcelona and Valencia CF have agreed to terms for the transfer of the player Jasper Cillessen. Valencia will pay FC Barcelona €35m.

Will prove to be a great signing I think. Look forward to some of the negative opinions of him changing over time. Apart from the instant talents of Ibrahimovic and FAlcao, not been as excited about a signing as this for a while

I don't know how Barca keep on doing this.
They bought him in 2016 for 13 mill Euros. He has barely played for them (3 games this year), he's 30 years old and has two years left on his contract, yet goes for the same fee that Madrid payed for Courtois. Every club knows they are loaded, they are apparently planning on buying Griezmann and Neymar, yet everyone is more than happy to pay stupid fees for their backup players.
I just feel there is always something very sketchy going on whenever Barca sell their players for huge margins. Now watch them but Onana for 20 Mill and sell him for 50 in two years

I really don't understand posts like these, under what inclination does signing 1 player mean that we won't get anyone else in? Woodward can't win. No one is 100% happy, there'll always be something to complain about.

For all the stuff that gets flown Woodwards way, atleast he knows how to get a good deal, and the AWB is one, they kept the Zaha clause in, even when Palace wanted it out, yes it's taken a while, but no one else in the top 6 has signed anyone and Spurs is the exception and even them have only looked likely to sign anyone and that was yesterday! He aint even signed yet and we've signed 2 players!

Woodward in my eyes has done quite well so far, there's still 6weeks or so left to sign players and if the papers are to be believed Fernandes will be wrapped up this week too!

IIRC A Bola are a reliable source too!

In fact, allegedly we're gonna sign 3 more people at least.

Not seen that much of him so maybe a naive post, but from the fair amount I have seen of NDOmbele, think they would be getting the better player. Iroinic as Fernandes seems more an Eriksen replacement and NDOmbele a Pogba one

They're the opposite of us, in the way that people think - wow it's a player from Barcelona - they'll be amazing.
Whereas our players are ludicrously underrated, and on ridiculous money meaning we have to sell for buttons to get their salary away.

Stupidly worded- tweet. He's our player, we won't force him to do anything. He's due at the team's training, unless Inter forces our hands to sell him.

Reports from Italy are that Inter are essentially bidding Lukaku's book value (roughly 55mm Euros), which reflects his transfer price of 85mm+ bonuses amortized by 2 years. That's why Inter's directors were convinced that the transfer could be done for 60-65mm Euros. United on the other is insisting on the same price that we paid Everton for him in 2017 so the difference in valuation is about 20-25 million Euros.

I still think a deal can be made based on Antonio Conte's insistence on Lukaku, the fact that Romelu wants to join Inter and moreover because we don't consider him fundamental to our footballing project going forward. IMO, 70-75mm Euros gets it done.

To be honest I think both Real Madrid and Inters valuations of Pogba and Lukaku are far closer to there worth than ours

Inter have Chinese billions and Real can blackmail some banks. Of course they’ve got the money to really pay for Lukaku and Pogba.

When it comes to Barca you can never throw away the possibility something dodgy is going on.

Why aren't we after Ndidi? One of the best defensive midfielders in the league if not the best, statistically.
