Fullbacks next season :
AWB,Dalot,Young,Shaw.

Honestly, wouldn't mind another left back, brought or promoted.Anything to see as little of Young as possible.

Darmian would be a better fit as backup than Young and it looks like he's not going to be sold and will ride his contract out anyway.

If we sign a CB i’d be fine with playing Lindelöf at RB for an odd game just to avoid seeing Young on the pitch in any game of importance.

Young was such a disaster last season, it was beyond ridiculous.
However, Ole wanted him for another season so wouldn’t surprise me seeing him play more than he should.

In my own opinion the “Van Dijk” of signing this summer. When Pochettino says Spurs should show their ambition, Levy must listen. It is amazing where Arsenal are now compared to where they before Pochettino took over. He has seems to have turn the tide in that battle in Spurs favor.

So you think this lad will put Spurs alongside City and Liverpool this coming season?

Well if the world class training ground now with added player lodge doesn't do it for him nothing will

People are forgetting that rather than 'driving to airport' for the 150 million, we could try our best to bring in some competency around our midfield/overall and try and improve the whole lethargic mood which is root cause of all this sulking players.

Albeit all this transfer window shenanigans/head turned etc , players will buck up and start trying when they see their place in the squad under threat or not getting enough playing time to stay relevant. If that doesn't work out, that's when we try to cash in. As it is Pogba, Martial etc have no one to be worried of consistently outplaying them off the starting 11. If we don't at least try a make a competitive environment for such talent to thrive, we are never going to get their full output.

Not only this lad, but it is an amazing foundation to start with for Pochettino who has missed a player like Moussa Dembele in his midfield. If they get the likes of a ram(lo Celso, Ziyech, etc), rb(??), and cb(Andersen, ??), along with two out of three of the young prospects they are linked with Dani Cebellos, Sessgnon and Clarke, then I will put a great amount of money that Pochettino will win the title. However, they also need a back up to Kane...This will cover the squad depth issue and put their starting eleven on pair with City, and Liverpool.

Arsenal's downfall can be attributed to their financial struggles/stringency also, so that's not a fair comparison IMO. The amazing thing here is that Spurs can afford this 60 million on single player considering the stadium expenses which is exactly what crippled Arsenal for a while . Must have some player sales lined up.

What's happened to them? x

They couldn't pay their bills anymore and were forcefully relegated to the 4th division. Immediately got promoted the following season followed by a semi sucessful season. They weren't allowed to make active signings this year without a revenue increase but found a way to sell the naming rights of their youth setup to their main sponsor for 500k which is basicly a line of credit since those naming rights aren't exactly worth anything. 3m would go a long way. That said, they'd probably waste that money on beer and hookers.

It's more due to them holding onto Wenger for too long, as opposed to Pochettino being amazing. Even this season if Aubameyang scored that penalty at Wembley, the two teams would've swapped positions in the table.

Honestly forgot about Darmian. I suppose you could also put Rojo in the fullback category for next season as he too looks unlikely to leave.*sigh*.

The difference is that, unlike Arsenal, Spurs pre-loaded years of austerity before (and during) the stadium build, which means less austerity afterwards than would otherwise have been the case. Moreover, compared to Arsenal, Spurs have generated bigger profits. These factors - and others - mean that Spurs can now afford to splash out a fair bit without needing to sell players.

Pretty well documented Sanè current deal isn’t close to €9.3m per year and that’s why he’s been pushing hard for a new one and has found himself with just 2 years left on his contract with more leverage. I’d be surprised if he’s asking for €400k a week too. That’s Messi/Ronaldo style wages. That tweet just feels entirely made up.

No, it ain't - Ronaldo / Messi make significantly more than €400k a week.

Madrids transfer business runs like a well oiled machine. With the sales of kovacic, llorente and the likes of Tomas about to leave they have already recouped the Hazard money. This is before even adding whatever they will get for James. With all this variables they will probably easily afford the 150m for Pogba.

I find this transfer bans very ineffective. So chelsea, if they sign Kovacic, would have signed players worth more than 100m. I understand the Pulisic signing was done earlier but still it is like playing around the punishment. In my opinion the transfer ban should be from immediate effect and not starting from next summer or winter. Makes no sense.

It was immediate. Pulisic was registered before the ban and so was Kovacic.

Its a new player registration ban more than a transfer ban.

For instance Barca bought Turan during their ban and didnt register him till the Jan window

Doesn't make much sense. Chelsea knew they will be getting a transfer ban and were smart in signing Pulisic. just like barca did. This punishment would have been more effective if Chelsea could not make any new addition to their squad.

Hopefully Neville tones down his views regarding AWB when he officially signs.
Neville was way over the top with his rating of Shaw when he signed on with us.
