Brilliant news. The first contract renewal that makes sense in quite some time!
I've got a friend who supports Sheffield United and rates him very highly. Says he was the best gk in the Championship. Not sure how that translates to Prem, but I'd be happy to find out and securing a deal makes sense before he proves his worth and needs a lot more.

High praise considering jack butland was there all season.

Deano :drool: big news for us, makes me less pessimistic for next season

Can you please translate it in English

Basic jist is Spurs really want him and look to be offering €60m, similar to Juventus’s bid. Lyon want €90m, and the players has agreements with Juventus and United, but no mention of United’s offer to Lyon.

# Ligue1 | @lfc, @juventusfc and @SpursOfficial have reached a contractual agreement with Tanguy Ndombele representatives.
Mauricio Pochettino made it his priority and directly expressed his interest to the player.

Tottenham, Juventus and Man Utd accelerate for Ndombele. https://soccerlink.fr/2019/06/19/non

According to Google translate...

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the agreement is for a five-year deal worth €7m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
There will also be a €10m signing-on fee

Southampton are expected to demand around £15m but Atletico and Inter are both hopeful a deal can be struck for Bertrand for less than £10m.

Apparently this guy is reliable for Palace news and also match day program contributor.

Oh so you rate AWB, I prefer Ethan Laird, a player whose united career will probably be over if we make that signing.

Ethan Laird who is 17 years old and missed the major part of last season due to injuries ? Don't get me wrong - I rate Laird highly, but what you are writing here is just stupid - his United-career being over ?

First of all - there is room for more than one player in a position - but yes at the moment a player like AWB is much better than Laird. If Laird continues to progress he could actually displace AWB as a right-back, he has the ability to do that. If that happens - we might even sell AWB in 3-4 years.

But what if Laird doesn't progress like we hope ? It's just plain stupid to use the argument that a new player will block a players way into the side, when he is not good enough to be there yet. If he eventually turns out to be good enough - he will get his chance, don't worry about it.

Only way I’d be anywhere near positive about Pogba [our best player] leaving is if we signed Brooks & Maddison; ridiculous summer thus far!

Aren’t we back earlier for Pre-Season this year?

I’m not believing any of this shit anymore. We have already lost Herrera and Fellaini. Why are we going to accept losing another CM. We need 2 in the first place.
McTominay is easily replaceable. If the brass think Garner can replace McTominay's production, it would be a smart deal.

But is Issa Diop worth it? Latest reports suggest they want what 75 mill for him? Let's say they agree to a total fee of 65 mill or 50 mill + Mct (I doubt we are going to get more than 15-20 million for him). Is Issa Diop worth the 50 million fee?

Secondly we have lost Herrera, Pogba wants to leave, Matic is shite, Fred is meh and Pereira is meh. If you look at our current midfield, Mct is arguably our second best CM after Pogba. How much will it take to replace him? Surely more than 15-20 mill, even if we are talking about a squad player/backup CM which is what Mct was for us. And no Garner can't be our backup CM, he's in his first season in the PL, at least Mct has some experience in the PL & CL and didn't look totally out of depth. We don't know how Garner will adapt to the PL.

So we are looking at a total cost of 75,80 mill plus (at the least) for Issa Diop. IMO, he's no where near that good. I would rather we buy Maguire for 80 mill and keep McT

Back for preseason in 12 days. Solskjaer wanted all transfer business done by that point.

The transfer window shuts in 50 days.

If we sell McTomminay at all, let alone for 15m then we're daft, Liverpool sold Solanke, who had 1 premier league goal to his name for 20m.

Besides that I've been saying for a while that McTomminay will have a very good future here, he wont be sold.

No reason to let McTominay go, unless we sign one or two CMs. Matic and Fred are useless, so after Herrera left, our midfield looks absolutely terrible.

I don't think he could yet though surely? Also Herrera has left, pogba might leave. We can't lose another midfielder this summer especially since the others all offer less than he does.
