It’s beginning to look like we’re having some issues with cash flow or something

No idea how though, we spent 50m last season and 15m this season. That's nothing in today's market

The spreading of payments would suggest we are spending big and trying to maximise this years budget by paying clubs in instalments. Would be consistent with the desire to get 5/6 players.

Say our budget is 180m, -15 for James we have 165m left.
130m after AWB.
75/80 on a central defender and we’re already down to 55m for a few midfielders and a striker.

If Pogba and Lukaku go that’ll be added to obviously but I imagine that’s somewhere along the lines of what we will do. Defence being the clear priority this year as on paper our attack should be incredible.

With Dortmund buying Hummels then I expect they will be open to selling one of their current CBs.

Diallo and Zagadou are both naturally left footed players who are better than anyone we have in the left CB position. Diallo is 23 and similar to Blind when he played CB for us. An intelligent, technically proficient player with good passing who likes to bring the ball out of defence, he would partner very well with Smalling. Zagadou is 20 and a much more aggressive and physically dominant player. More raw and somewhat technically weaker than Daillo but bigger, stronger, quicker and would be a good foil for Lindelof if we were willing to go with a fairly inexperienced player.

Either player would improve us and I believe at least one should be attainable for a non-ridiculous fee once Hummels to Dortmund is complete. Would also be nice to establish positive relations with Dortmund should we want to try for Sancho at some point.

Didn't Zlatan say something like that when he visited Utd in pre season training last year? Something along the lines of "It is great to see the guys, to see them happy and to see them training good. Be ready for this season, because something special will happen."

And then

United have not made any blockbuster moves in the transfer market yet this summer, with Fred, Lee Grant and Diogo Dalot the only new arrivals so far.

But Ibrahimovic added: "I think the boss has something going on.

"We will keep that a secret!

Two things. First there is a fair chance that the article is based on nothing and the figures that you are mentioning aren't what we spent, it's what we added to what we already owed, the club spent more than 100m in trade payables.

The Darmian money isn't going to offset much ,not even the championship transfers that are being thrown around . We shot ourselves in the foot last season by not letting him leave for 10-12 millions.

Hopefully we see some of the Academy players step up and Mata played in his right position you cant not like Juan in fairness a couple of decent signings coming up too fingers crossed.
Hugs

Manchester United are understood to have agreed a fee with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to a source familiar with the negotiations, the deal values Wan-Bissaka at £55million, a world record sum for a specialist full back.

This move from the club was pretty genius. Finally some news to be excited about.

Signing on a guy who whilst a lovely lad never fit us and looks woefully out of sync when wide and even central in quite a lot of games?
Or getting him to say it all looks exciting?
