Joe Gomez and Robertson were got from the championship.

Mane, Salah, Firminho, VVD, Alison were not. You can afford to take a chance on promising youth when the team is packed with very good players. Our best player wants to leave and our other will not sign a new deal and will leave next summer for free. The rest of the squad is full of aging, limited and inconsistent players. That's the major difference for me.

Weve been preperaring this bid for while haven’t we? What’s Ed doing? Walking to Portugal.

Top clubs use pigeons.

Takes a lot of preparation, some delicate folding of special paper then you attach it to the pigeon.

We're the wealthiest club in the world? We can afford to spend 300m each summer and still make a profit. Yet we have been outspent by City in 9 out of the last 10 windows.
Yes but city can afford litteral billions and not give a clap about making money.

It’s a shame for the premier league that we’re this unattractive to top players, Chelsea caught that ban, and Arsenal are poor.

The league just lost Hazard and could lose Pogba too and is now clearly a two horse race for a couple of years. Players like Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann, De Ligt, etc. should all be coming to this league, one would think.

Well, no. Robertson was extremely impressive in the Premier League for Hull. He showed that he could cut it at the top level - we've no idea about James or Aarons.
Quite a lot of players have been brought from the championship and become very good players.
James has shown he can perform against premiership opposition, and at international level, Aaron's has had a brilliant season in a superb team, he would be more of a gamble but isn't every young signing no matter where they are from?

Not sure if he's reliable?

Bruno possibly going to City is an interesting one.
I would look past Gundogan and actually question whether Pep is getting slightly concerned with KDB fitness of late.
You take KDB out of City's midfield and there's little goal threat centrally.Granted City's wide players have ample goals in them as we've seen with Sterling,Bernardo,Mahrez.
But there would be no harm, from Pep's pov,in enhancing their goal threat from midfield.
Never stand still.Keep improving.

No, not all youngsters are risks. We bought Rooney from Everton but it was clear as day he, at the the very worst, was going to be a really good player. We ended up getting many world class seasons out of him.

Ed probably wants £20m for each, which no one will ever pay.
I know it’s been mentioned before, but the inability to move utterly useless players on - due to what must be farcical wages considering their talent level - is as worrying if not more than the inability to get players in.

More like Raiola prefers a move to Juve so he can make another bumper payday and then repeat the trick to Madrid in a couple of years time.

Pogba is running the risk of letting his career get away from him just to line this gobshites pockets. Not that he wouldn't deserve it.

This makes sense to me, and something I said a few weeks back. There were no reports of him for a while, and i suspect that we enquired and didn’t like the price we were told and that was shelved, at least for this year.

Not that this isn’t baseless hypothesis either to be fair. Pogba will of course go where he wants, so far as all parties agree on the numbers.

If all of these agents make their players play wherever they choose out of greed, they would all be in Qatar or China.

Pogba loved his time in Juventus. I'm sure he'd love to go back.

Looking at the 3 years he's had here compared to Juve's three years, bet he wishes he never left. And as a bonus now he'd get a couple of seasons with Ronaldo.

Ronaldo wouldn't have much time for a slacker like Pogba though.
