This would be a great signing if we already had a proven defender he could play and learn off. Tbh, I'd still take him in our current circumstances because I do think he's better than Maguire. The only reason no one says anything about him is because he isn't English and plays for West Ham. £45m would be a bargain for him, IMO.

Nonsense. We've been linked to a shit ton of non-English players.

You're literally complaining about a lack of chatter about him in a response to a tweet with chatter about him.

Have we retired the right wing position after Ronaldo or something?

It must be in the contracts of all our managers. Old wingers must be RB and slow limited players have to be RW.

We give opposition managers such an easy ride by handicapping ourselves week in week out. It baffles the feck out of me!

" ...according to 'ABC', Pogba is ready to hand in a 'transfer request' at United. If that doesn't work, he will threaten to go on strike at his current club and not return for preseason training...
Madrid don't want to spend more than €125m plus variables for Pogba whereas United are hoping to rake in closer to €180m..."

No idea how reliable Tomás González-Martín is, but just 5 days ago he reported that Mbappe wants to leave PSG to join Real Madrid and that the player's father, Wilfried Mbappé, is already looking for a way for his son to join Real Madrid.

Let him hand a request in and I will happily take 125m euro..... plus Varane.

I dare you to go on strike Mr Pogba, Hope this isn't true and i suspect the Spanish have made matters worse

I would take 125m plus a player, one they dont need, but could be good for us. I am looking at Ceballos for example. Isco could be nice too.

I like Isco and for some reason he seems to have fallen from grace a little when a couple of years back he was amazing. Don't think many fellow muppets would want him though.

Looks like the only way we are going to get rid of our deadwood is by offering them to other clubs as part of a deal for one of their players.

Just need to pray that the club being offered them will take them off our hands

 Sure. He had a decent season and now worth 45 mil plus a player.

This is why we need to try and find these players before their value goes up.

People laugh at the signing of James and potential signing of Longstaff, but If the two were to have good seasons in the EPL next season, then their price would at least double.

I was mainly referring to the nonsense on social media, with people laughing at the idea of us being in for him, most likely from people who have never seen him play, but even on here, the first response to the tweet was someone posting a green laughing emoji at it.

The source is good. He is one of the journalists/newspapers that deal directly with Florentino, so I´d say that in this case Madrid are trying to shake the things a bit.
Yesterday J.F Díaz, as well a Madrid journalist, wrote that Pogba didn´t plan riots

His non-Englishness isn't the reason for that.

Hope this is just more bullcrap. Would be sad to see things deteriorate to such an extent. Don't have a problem with Pogba going if that is indeed what he wants so long as Madrid just simply cough up...if they are so desperate for him.

Starting to seem like were may have started to exhaust our list of CBs like last summer, at least its a lot earlier in the window this time

"...He is refusing various destinations and insisting he wants to remain at Inter, or at least go to Juventus.
Newspaper La Repubblica suggests Icardi and his wife Wanda Nara, who also acts as his agent, are lining up a potential court case against the club.
He would sue for ‘mobbing’ – a legal term referring to bullying that forces someone out of the workplace through intimidation and isolation.
If Icardi is made to train by himself away from the rest of the group, it could be a case, following the precedent set by Goran Pandev when suing Lazio for an early contract termination..."

Hard to imagine a judge terminating a contract offering millions in wages because of what Icardi endured.

From De Ligt to Kouilabaly to Maguire to Diop. Sums up the direction towards which the club is heading.
