Classic Raiola move. He has to make it one big show in order to justify his huge commission.
Barca wants De Ligt and De Ligt wants Barca. Ajax is willing to let him go for a decent fee. Straight forward but imagine paying your agent 10 million for a deal that easy.

We should refuse any and all player swap deals from Inter.

Realistically speaking, which Inter players United can get in a deal for Lukaku ?

Skriniar has recently signed and is very settled in Milan.

Meanwhile, Brozovic and Icardi don't see eye to eye after Wandagate surely. If reports are to believed, that Inter keen on Sanchez & Darmian, we should offer them:

Lukaku + Sanchez + Darmian for Brozovic + €40m

I'm tempted to create an account on Reddit and make up a few things about United to see if they will believe that I am ITK.

Might go for something like:

"De Ligt agrees terms with United, but is waiting on Barcelona to up their original offer before making a decision. De Ligt and his camp have set Barcelona a 2 week deadline. United confident they can strike a deal with De Ligt and have offered him the captaincy in order to tempt him to Old Trafford".

Well it's quite simplistic take on the situation Raiola was hired by De Ligt to get him the best deal possible and that's what he is trying to get for his client and if it was as straight forward as you are claiming De Ligt wouldn't have involved Raiola despite having an agent already.

Not twitter but here is the latest from spoofex on reddit

In addition to the below, he said that we`ve signed James but will push back the announcement to when he is ready.

IN

  • Sancho deal could be back on. Seems that the Brandt and Hazard signings are seen as Dortmund preparing to let him go. Belief is it would take between £80m-£100m. However, expect to see news come out slowly that we AREN'T interested as Ed is seemingly trying to play a bit of a game to lower the price by flirting with Bale and Griezmann (this already started yesterday with an Ogden ESPN article).

  • AWB deal is on. We've told Meunier we won't be continuing discussions. The AWB deal is quiet a bit further along than reported, and he may now wind up completing first.

  • We are the Premier League team that intends to activate Partey's release clause (pending Pogba confirming he plans to stay. Not sure why him going would stop this but that's what is being said.)

  • Koulibally is almost certainly not happening. Napoli seem utterly disinterested in selling him. Umtiti still the other pipe-dream, but he seems to want to stay at Barca. Harry Maguire is the backup but will be very expensive.

  • We would love to sign De Ligt, but all noise is from his agent trying to drum up money out of Barca. We don't expect him to go anywhere else. We have however said we will meet all demands (which is above Barcas offer and a promise to make him the instant starter).

  • Likewise; we have started to monitor the situation with Luka Jovic at Eintracht Frankfurt. Still expected to join Madrid but we may look to sign him if Lukaku leaves. We wouldn't meet their €100m valuation but instead would look to send players to them on loan (Chong an option) or even offer them a discount on a replacement (not sure who they would want/can afford to he honest).

  • We absolutely would take Bale on loan if he wants it.
OUT

  • Bailly has attracted several offers, but nothing that has met the club valuation.

  • Pogba is believed to be staying

  • De Gea is going this summer. PSG offer is expected any day now.

  • Alexis has an offer from Inter (Juve never reached out formally).

  • Lukaku sale to Inter is also becoming possible, but will be dependant upon a suitable replacement being available (and if Icardi would actually leave). Solksjaer seems to not be arsed at all with him.

I dont see anything knew. These ITK choose their words carefully, but most of the things are already reported. The Sancho thing and De Gea bit are obviously bollocks, thats 1+1 makes 2 stuff based on the recent developments reported with De Gea not signing an extension and BvB buying 2 offensive players. I am pretty confident that De Gea wont be sold this summer and Sancho as well, based on common sense. Dont know about the Kohler guy, but this one cant convince me, seems like the usual ITK bullshit based on reports and then making up stuff based from that position and getting something right and wrong.

Barca basically don't have money and are trying to utilize the whole Messi and De Jong aspect to influence De Ligt to agree on the deal. Football aside, this is a career and as an individual, you will always look out for yourself. De Ligt does not necessarily need to be at Barcelona to have a fruitful career. The guy's maturity is well beyond his years and nothing Raiola says to him will influence his decision. It's not just agent fees which Barcelona are not trying to pay but also De Ligt's wages. If we manage to pull off De Ligt, this guy could propel us in the right direction with his leadership.

No, but he has scored a lot more goals than Martial and Rashford in his career. Feed him from the wings with a decent cross and he'll score. Something that hasn't happened in the past season. I'm not saying we shouldn't look for a better player than him, but in my opinion we have more pressing positions to focus on. Young is no Neville, Pereira or Fred aren't Scholes, Keane and others. Mata and Lingard aren't Beckham, Ronaldo or even Nani.

They could all leave for I care. And for Lukaku, there is no point and no future in adopting a Stoke like playing style just to accomodate a low quality striker.
I respect your opinion, and have nothing personal against Lukaku. But Inter isn't the only club in Europe. Whoever gives us cash gets him. Perisic is an exercice in futility.

Also says that James and Longstaff are backups for more high priority targets. Signing either would be a sign that we missed out on those targets.
He would say that after claiming that the Longstaff links were an invention from the players camp. Since then some prominent journos have said there actually is interest in Longstaff.

I would assume that there will be CL level clubs in for him, which will make our task difficult.
He'll request around 150k as a salary though. Word is PSG offered him even more in order to stay.

Out of the clubs that are in CL and can match his wages I don't see many candidates that would give him regular spot and playing time (assuming this is what he is looking for) along with what he'll want as salary.

That and of course no top club seems to have reported interest or have preliminary signed him as they could've agreed terms since January.

I've been following their posts and I believed it at first, now I'm sceptical. They thought Sancho wasn't happening but now says it could be back on from 2 signings BVB made from money from the Pulisic deal?

I also read the comments, this guy/girl hadn't even heard us talk about Bruno Fernandes or Jaio Felix, two players we've very clearly scouted. Hadn't also heard anything about Longstaff, said 'must be something Butt is handling' why would Butt be the one negotiating for first team players?! Hadn't heard anything about the Brazilian Pedro, they said 'another team might be handling it due to his location', do football clubs operate this way regarding transfers from oversea?

They also mentioned that Koulibaly backup is an experienced centre back on loan, and now we are going with Umtiti & Maguire. Rojo being a DM, I’m done with this ITK reddit, where are they coming from? Who’s saying this guy is reliable in the first place? First time I heard.

At this point, I will only consider Ornstein as tier 1 of United resources now.

Can you imagine :drool::drool::drool:

I'd probably take us buying no one else if we got De Ligt
Eh? Why? What would we do about the mediocre midfield, which will be even worse without Herrera? Or the lack of quality, creativity and workrate in the front line? Nah, we need to buy more! Won't be happy with just De Ligtful

Up until a couple month ago I would've instantly called garbage on the reddit "itk" but Before this last season of GOT there was a post outlining details of important scenes in season 8 of GOT. They were bang on with a lot of the scenes, in detail too. So while I'm taking it with a pinch of salt, I can't totally dismiss it as nonsense.

Well, just a guess, but I would not be especially surprised if any/all of Juve, Inter, Real, Barca, Chelsea, City, Liverpool showed some interest in him.

Hope not. :) he's a good player and we can do with him, especially on a free.

How is Perisic deadweight? And what does that make Lukaku, Sanchez, Lingard etc?

Deadweight too in my opinion. A 30 something year old player taken for a position that is not a priority that plays in a poor league and for a poor team.
You can make a case for experience... but this remains a pointless acquisition in my eyes.

I'd take an extra 10mil to 20 mil on the price for lukaku rather than having an unsellable player on the books that I suspect won't improve us and is not really interested in playing for us. (The only reason I can see Perisic moving is for a final big pay day before retiring, not what's needed).
Inter quoted what, over 60mil for Perisic last year... They can keep him now.
There is no reason we should be helping them get rid of players they don't have any use for anymore.
Also cash is more useful to us, and we are a bigger club than Inter. If they are letting Perisic go to improve his position, there is no reason we can't do the same.

Frankfurt are just being greedy. How much did they sign Jovic from Benfica? This is no different from an adage which say someone who found a valuable object on the ground and wanted to die (i.e greedy/obsessed) because of it, what should we say about the person from whose hand the valuable object got lost?

I agree but can you blame them? Not a lot of strikers in the market at the moment. It's a fight to find a half decent striker.
I'd also try to take one of the big boys to the cleaners if i were frankfurt.

That being said, they'll probably sell him for 60mil plus some easy to reach clauses

"Palace feel under absolutely no pressure to sell Wan-Bissaka, and would want a fee of over £70m to even consider the prospect.
United had been hoping to complete the signing for at most £40m, but that now looks way off."

That's a ludicrous fee for someone so limited.
