Yeah, it's fashionable to slate Lukaku and there's a fair bit of justification in it but he really isn't that bad.

He's a fairly good player who's coming off the back of a poor season. I'm happy to see him go, but replacing him with someone who is better and for a reasonable fee will be tricky, especially when we have more pressing issues.

That's not good enough, especially if we aspire to be one of the best again.

If we can get a good amount for him then we will certainly replace him.

He's still not good enough if we aspire to be one of the best though.
I agree, but surely you start with your absolute weakest areas before expending a massive amount of time and energy on an issue that is less pressing.

Rashford has shown in the past couple of months he isn't ready to be the main striker at the club, letting Lukaku go without signing a quality replacement would be very poor.

I hear what you're saying, but football clubs (especially one of our size and stature) rarely work on one transfer at a time, it's all simultaneous.

Also, if you think about it, getting rid of Lukaku early and replacing him may impact the other players we sign in order to compliment our new attack.

Right system and he’ll score a shit ton of goals for them. His conversion rate is pretty decent. United do not play to his strengths, so he needs to find a club that will, with a manager who has faith in him. I wonder if their offer will be like 50p plus a random player? I very much doubt Inter can afford him and he’ll remain at United as a back up player.
I think he's got more chance of being converted to a WB like what Conte did with Moses.

De Ligt and Tuanzebe for next season please!!
Wouldn't mind him paired with Lindelof. More of a worry if we do get him and for some reason Ole pairs him with Smalling. Tuanzebe should definitely be brought into the fold. Get rid of Jones and Rojo. Keep Bailly to make it four CB's.

If there's something he might know about, then it's about Inter, because he's a fan. He was also first to report Vidic to Inter. But I doubt we'd take Perisic now though. That time has passed.

Lindeolf is ok but I still find him a bit too passive. But I agree Jones and Rojo need to leave asap.

As shit as it seems a 30 year old Perisic and 30m, I would still take it. I cannot stand Lukaku pointing anymore.

Straight swap for Škriniar would be better.

We won't accept that kind of bid unless it's a megaBOOM! 30m+Skriniar sounds more like it.

If we pull the de Ligt deal off it will be a huge lift in spirits and feel like the start of a new era, here’s to praying. We are right to offer the ultimatum at this stage, show we want him most.

The EL thing shouldn’t be a dealbreaker as surely he’s moving for the long term and we are building something (hopefully).

We should ask for Skriniar instead of Perisic. Skriniar + 30 mil should be the aim if it isnt an all cash deal

I would laugh in their faces at this offer then slam the door on them.

You're right there to be fair. Who knows with Woodward though

If there's any scope to sell Lukaku and do a swift deal for Felix or something along those lines then I'm all for it.

Do they have any other players we can have? I don't think Ole will want Perisic.

Yes. This is a deal I could get behind. But we also need to get a striker to replace Lukaku before we let him go. Maybe the Brazilian striker Pedro might be that player.

Perisic and Inter can get fecked with that offer. Lukaku is in his prime still. He’s not right for us but he’d score a ton of goals for Inter. Just look at Higuain in fat shape was scoring goals. We shouldn’t sell him for lower than £75m.

Don't hold your breath guys.

Joke bid.

I don't see us recouping what we paid for him. The kinds of teams who could afford to spend that money are unlikely to want that style of player. Inter makes sense but I think they'd only be interested in a player plus cash deal. So even if Palmeri is a BS artist I can imagine this would be close to what inter would like to do for this deal.
