Behavioural issues, yes. He needs to be more mindful of not attracting any negative attention.
But I never said he ‘won’t work as hard for the club because he’s English’. Where did you get that from? Just meant he may take advantage of being English and playing for united and hence assume he has the right to get special attention or leeway.
I just think he may continue to get caught acting immature or irresponsible after having signed for us.
Playing for our club and potentially wearing the #7 does bring a lot of fame and attention and I wouldn’t want him taking advantage of that just because he’s popular. Players who think they can get away with lenient treatment after acting up eventually affect the mood in the locker room.
David Beckham, is a great example. He was a world class player but at one point he eventually took advantage of his fame and that’s when he had issues with Sir Alex.

Just based off of comparing their personalities, I felt like Fati may not attract negative attention as much as Sancho has (which has been rare itself).
That does not mean Sancho would be a bad signing but I hope he would focus more on playing football rather than attracting attention on social media which harms his own credibility or the club’s.
Fati does not seem to be progressing like an average player. He’s already been playing for the first team at Barcelona from such a young age.
Sancho had a tough time getting into City’s starting 11 at the same age and opted for a foreign league and team just to get playing time.
However, presently Sancho is a much more complete player as compared to Fati and would suit our team a lot more as well.
Hence, I agree with your view that many posters will not agree to my views.
In all honesty my first option is Sancho as well. But one that won’t affect the atmosphere negatively. Pogba has done enough of that.

Payments could be managed if we agree to a payment plan that suits them. I’m assuming we’ll be okay with a 3/4 year payment plan as long as they agree to 15m and nothing less.
If not injured, Rojo would be a decent acquisition for them. Will provide stability at the back. Having played in the PL will have improved his game as well.
I’m also hoping they can recoup some of the money by his jersey sales since he must be popular back home.
Better than nothing, him and Sanchez are the two we are going to have trouble shifting, I think Jones, Lingard and Pereira will be easy enough to sell.
I agree with everything else from your post, just that one statement to be fair while Ansu Fati is a really promising player the fact that he's played first team football with Barca while exciting, doesnt warrant that he'll be a top player. Bojan was a regular first team player and we all know how he end up.
Also I think that Ansu Fati debut was forced because of Barca's failures in their signings, Malcom, Dembele, Coutinho, Denis Suarez are all players that should have taken that spot. I mean I dont diminish Fati's talent but all Im saying is he wouldnt get regular football in a regular Barca's squad.
Agree, hopeful any midfield spells the end for Lingard and Periera, Lingard in particular (Periera could have limited use as a back up).
After this window i'd love to see our midfield upgraded.
Sell Pogba and Lingard, limited game time for Matic/Mata/Periera. Give Lingards limited minutes to Gomes/Garner and adding quality such as Bellingham and Van Der Beek can only improve the quality throughout the squad.

To be fair Van De Beek could easily be an improvement on the Paul Pogba we have seen in a United shirt. The Paul Pogba on paper seems to be a much better player than the real one.
How liverpool got £140 million for Coutinho will remain one of life's great mysteries.

Lingard is below par, as is Periera. Pogba has barely featured this season and looks set to leave sooner or later.
Pogba's form has been debatable throughout his time here but he hasn't been as good as he can be.
Mata and Matic are solid pro's who can no longer perform to the standard they once did, so limiting they're game time is a wise move.
Moving on Lingard and Periera and replacing with better options while long term planning to replace Matic can only be good. Ole is transitioning the squad for the better.
Pogba is an odd one as im sure Ole would like to get the best out of him. 3 years in and he's been a flop and more of a drama than we need. His attitude is questionable, his agents always got an agenda and he's hardly shown consistent form. For me, we're better cutting ties.

I'd say they have a loyal and dedicated fan base despite years of being shit and poor ownership. For such a footballing city, they deserve better.

Duncan Castles saying on his podcast that a team made a 100 + 50 million (euros) in bonuses bid for Ansu Fati but was turned down, that Sport report a few days ago says it was us. It also mentioned Mendes so I'm guessing that's where Castles is getting his info.

I'm not so sure after listening to the podcast. It makes sense for a few reasons. I think we genuinely see him as a viable Sancho alternative. Our links to Mendes. Ansu and Barca's situation makes it more interesting too IMO.
I think it would be almost like a Martial type signing. Massive potential and very young, it would certainly fit the profile that we have been targeting.
Spunking that much money is too big a risk though - one we'd have learned from I'm sure. Sancho is a far lesser risk in many ways.
Sancho would cost far more in total. He'd arguably be a similar fee upfront but Ansu would probably earn way less.
Obviously I agree that Sancho is less risk but if we really rate him then it could be a risk worth taking.
Castles also mentions that we previously tried to sign him but couldn't because he only had a Guinean passport at the time and would have been difficult to get a work permit. So we've obviously been looking at him for a while..
Due to the Mendes links there are two scenarios IMO. We are genuinely interested or are being used for a new contract. Both of which are fairly likely but time will tell.

We have previous interest according to Castles and have made attempts to sign him previously.

That is a crazy offer for him. I didn't think he was that good to justify the price. Spend the money on Havertz instead if not Sancho.
It's in the same ballpark as the Martial deal though IMO. We paid 56 Million for a young french kid who had played around 50 games for Monaco.
The recruitment team obviously rated him massively and I think the same with Ansu.
Not saying I think he's worth that but the potential would be enormous and he absolutely fits our profile so I'm not rushing to write it off immediately.
