Manchester City have reached an agreement with Jorginho, source told @CalcioNapoli24: €4,5M/year. Deal with Napoli could be closed around €47/48M plus bonus until €50M

Apparently I know how to add a tweet to the post. But - seems that City also move quick.

Why aren't Napoli making them pay through the nose for this? Is his contract running down?

If city sign Mahrez then we will be a couple steps before the season starts.

It is important we get Bale so we can compete with them.
Honestly what's the difference? They're either gonna drop Sterling/Sane/Bernardo Silva to use Mahrez, they're all just as good.

It's obviously better squad depth but it doesn't really "improve" them.

I think this new RB we are getting from Porto is going to actually play and end up being a RW for us.

Lewa will also end up at Chelsea and be the new Shevchenko.

I second this question, seems like City are getting an exceptionally good deal on (non defender) talent again. They seem to pick up midfielders and attackers for peanuts.

If that ends up being the case while City spend 75m on Mahrez, Ed and Jose should be slapped in the face.

He's quite clearly their only midfield target too. I don't get it, if it was us it would not be this cheap.

City's owners have their tentacles in various countries. They have connections that go beyond the footballing world.

Sounds a bit fishy I think. Who knows what kind of funny business could be going on here with FFP in mind?

Probably more payments behind closed doors. Would not be shocked. Keeps their FFP down and the receiving club are still getting their money.

They are basically owned by a country that give their owners much more power and connections behind the scenes

Would love if Liverpool signed Cillessen and not Allisson, Leno, Oblak or any other good keeper.
He's no ter Stegen, but I haven't got the impression that he's completely out of his depth like I have with Karius. He'd definitely be an upgrade.

No, the selling clubs are happy to get bottom dollar for their talent and feel privileged that the biggest supported club in the Etihad have honoured them by doing them a kindness in given them any money at all as they would have gladly paid city to take their players.

Aye there has to be, someone needs to start checking the books. There's probably £30m for fax machine usage inserted in there somewhere on the invoice.

That baffled me too. Or are we the only ones cursed with paying through the nose for players?

I get the feeling City must do something extra to get some of their deals for the reported prices, it just logically doesn't make sense how they can seemingly not overspend when they have unlimited cash and the world knows it.

What a horrible signing that would be. Apart from not being good enough he must have the worst attitude in world football.

That would be a huge waste of money.

Probably some shady deal between mobsters.

If this was us we'd be paying 100mil plus various add-ons, no doubt.
