If we are able to replace Pogba with Eriksen (although you have to ask if thats feasible from Spurs standpoint and from his view too) and somebody like Varane maybe best for all??

Having said that I believe we should build around Pogba but feels like I am increasingly in the minority.

Actually 150 million plus means we can get Bruno and Erikksen both but I would prefer if we got Bruno and Ziyech using Pogba money . It will be then be a bit more scoring options from the midfield which we need urgently .

I think Ziyech could be one of the gems of the summer if Ajax get a good fee.
 
If we get 150m euros for Pogba I'd snatch their hands off.

Go and buy 3 good up and coming players with that who want to play for the club and not for their Instagram account followers.

Wan Bissaka, Youri Tielmanns & Hirving Lozano or Paul Pogba?

Ziyech always impresses whenever I have watched him play but I feel he will struggle in our system unless we overhaul the whole tactics of the team . I have a sneaky feeling that Klopp will go for him in the summer .

Agree,but if we do change up our tactics then Ziyech could potentially be the perfect fit for Ole's new creative United.He's dynamic,technically excellent and has great work-rate. He still needs to add alittle more consistency to his game but he's now on the rise as being one of the standout offensive players in European football.

Its quite similar to Bernardo Silva where you just felt he was ready for that step up.

If Hazard with just one year left on his contract is worth 100 million, surely Pogba is worth way more than 150. He's younger with three years left on his contract and was bought for a world record fee. Should be at least 175 + 25 add ons.
I wouldn't mind us selling Pogba if we can get that much money, provided we replace him well. I would also sell DDG for 50 million and buy Oblak. This window has the potential to make or break the club
 
Woodward will be wanting bale as part of a swap deal I am sure.

Yes both Ziyech and Bruno Fernandes seem ready for a step up . I hope we don't chase after Erikksen all summer and offer him crazy wages as Pogba replacement . Instead invest in those 2 as replacements for Pogba and Mata if he leaves . Those 2 will guarantee a lot of goals from the midfield which we are missing right now.

It's hard to imagine a single day goes by that Ed Woodward doesn't think about ol' Alexis Sanchez and the millions he's costing him every month.
 
Id take Bale on loan if Madrid paid a big part of his wages. So there is little risk on our side and less wages. Also, no obligation to buy.

The only post regarding selling Pogba that has any merit is if we can get Eriksen, the rest is stepping out of a Rolls Royce into a Cadilac, and when you look at what Pogba has in front of him as a forward line it's crazy how he's shouldering the bulk of the blame from fans, If De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva had Lukaku, Martial and Rashford in front of them people would be questioning their output as well.

I think they'd show energy, dynamism, professionalism and lead by example. It wouldn't paper over the cracks, but it would be consistently a lot better.

No, I've criticized him after the last few games, he's not playing well at all, I am just saying that this dumb idea that selling him and replacing with a bunch of grafting, mediocre players will solve anything is a joke, as is the notion that he's the sole problem, none of the front 3 are near good enough, you can sell Pogba and buy any creative midfielder you want, it wont change the shit show up top.

The issues in this team run through it, mediocre CB's nearing a testimonial, 35 year old has-been wingers as fullback's, inconsistent young forwards with ego's beyond their talent being asked to lead the strike force, £85M for an in his prime striker that can barely control a football half of the time and who is always running his mouth like the big man on Campus.......so sure, Pogba is an issue, I'm not even saying don't sell him, but he is not as big of an issue as others in this squad that have attitudes that are no better than his and who have far less talent, and replacing him with fecking Bruno Fernandes isn't going to get us anywhere, it's as deluded as thinking there isn't a problem with Pogba.
 
Ziyech or Bruno Fernandes are wonderful choices to replace Pogba. With Pogba's bird being Colombian, I'd say she's crazy to move to Madrid with the new baby.

At the end of the day, Pogba's attitude stinks, his agent stinks, and he's probably fed up being at a club who haven't got a clue what they are doing in the transfer market.

Bruno Fernandes and Declan Rice for the same money we get for The Pog is wonderful business at this point.

Mediocre players? All of the named replacements would 1) provide better value for the overall unit and 2) are having better seasons than Pogba has.

Liverpool and Tottenham have better working midfields than us despite us having Paul Pogba. You think Klopp would like Pogba? He'd likely tell him to feck off.

They'd show more energy I agree, Pogba isn't as lazy as his big lolloping frame makes him look, it's a general misconception when you look at his distance covered overall, but his attitude is questionable undoutbedtly, however I guarentee if the front 3 could finish their dinner he'd get less criticism as players like him, De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva re judged primarily on what they do with the ball, no matter how much Gary Neville wanks himself silly over how much graft Bernardo does.

The players listed in the posts in here bar Eriksen are not fecking good enough, unless our aim is to maintain being top 6, Pogba might be an issue but without him we wouldn't even be in a top 4 race.

Spurs and Liverpool have awesome forwards that allow for their mediocre midfields, we have issues in every area of the pitch, if you moved Pogba into their midfields that don't have Matic's lumbering frame in them, and with a quality forward line in front of him that actually make intelligent runs and can finish their chances, he'd not be getting all the shite he's getting on here right now.
 
Personally I will be happy to sell Pogba and use those funds, together with other outs and our transfer kitty to start the rebuilding process..

We just need to get use to the fact that it will take few years for the squad to be built. The way I look at it is that we need players good enough to take us to TOP 4 again as a start, anyone thinks that two three transfer windows will solve the issues, they are dreaming.

In addition, we won’t be getting the world beaters, there are currently better options out there for those players and we can’t blame them.

promote some good academy players on top..

No superstar will want to join us, we are too far behind in their pecking list...

However if given a chance and the player wants to come, we should compete...

Now unless another billionaire takes over and willing to spend money... we will be playing catch up not only to other teams with Super stars but also to teams within the PL

Pogba is our best but if he can bring in a massive fee to fund our rebuild it might be for the best.

That's because you want someone to carry the burden from midfield for most of our goals and assists.

If you actually thought about the team as a unit and how they can best serve the overall play rather than goals and assists, you'd see it's a bigger upgrade than just mediocre replacements. Bruno Fernandes may be in a lesser league but his shots are pretty fecking incredible and top corner is top corner whether you do it in Portugal, Spain or England. He'd be a big risk but he won't be the only replacement we can make.

Players like Neves, Rice, Ndombele that can be used to suppliment the more offensive midfielders can better control matches, press opponents and serve the front 3 who then have more chances to score. Just look at Liverpool - they don't have star midfielders and outscore anyone in the league bar City. You just need to bring in a midfield that is technical, can work hard and have the right mentality whilst upgrading the front 3 (Say Sancho/Felix etc) to bring in the goals.

Also shit on Bruno all you want, the man would likely shine wherever he goes.

£150m value of Pogba. Choices are keep him and build team around him OR

sell him and with Herrera leaving too, you could pretty much buy (if available) any three central midfielders from the likes of Ndombele, Fernandes, Ziyech, Barella, Rice, Ascacibar, Tonali or any of those players plus a Saul or Rhodri.

Personally I would much rather that and being able to have the likes of Perreira, Matic, Fred and McTominay as valuable squad players, some of which we could even be looking to phase out if the signings are a success to bring the likes of Garner and Gomes through over the next season.

I agree its not a difficult question, in fact I would say selling Lukaku and Martial too and along with the contracts of Mata and Herrera and gettiing Sanchez and his wages off the books, you could pretty much rebuild the whole front six without spending a penny and making more room at the same time for a couple of our promising youngsters.

I am really hoping these players want to move so that we are forced into making more than 5 signings myself, not concerned about them moving, more that they stay
