Ever since he’s been in Manchester he’s been their cheerleader. During the World Cup he was strutting around like a cheerleader for them.
I wish Rabiot would just sign for somebody (not us) so we can stop hearing about this overrated prick and people can stop suggesting we get him.

Lots of pessimism on here but I'm over the moon to hear that we're actually going to be serious about strengthening the team this year as opposed to bringing in 2 or 3 players to maintain the squad level and generate shirt sales. With the names being mentioned in the press and the amount of money we're willing to spend I'm really optimistic about next season and the summer with Ole at the wheel!
He's a keeper that has steadily regressed, poor in his last season at Chelsea and poor at Real Madrid, but yes, the biggest reason to avoid him is he clearly wants to live in Spain.
The most important thing is to keep the hype around the club. And the average fan does not look further than simple rumours and when they see that Neymar is linked: Rejoice. We will continue to buy merchandise from the club.

I think these stories are timed to light a fire under the arses on the current squad following a string of shitty performances.
If it comes from the United briefings to a journalist, it's good that they recognized our deadwood we need to clear and bring a player in who can make a difference for us next season, it's just question of whoever we can get them, it's unlikely we'll get them all on the agreement for contract and transfers fee.
Rodri would be a seriously great buy. If he avoids injuries you've got a world class player in a difficult position to find for a decade. He'd be the best signing we can get from Atletico and is absolutely worth the release clause. It won't be an easy signing though as he is an Atletico youth product and fan and if he wants to leave them one day he knows Barca would come knocking for a Busquets replacement. If he can be got this summer we have to go all in.
I love Mata but its debatable he is even good enough to be a bench option for us at this point let alone Barca.

If I was Ed I’d brief the media daily on how Sanchez won’t be getting a kick next year and how he is for sale at any price.

I don't think the problem goes away with Sanchez departing because by signing Sanchez and offering him so much wages we have set a salary benchmark which will keep being a problem in the future . Just today I read that Pogba wants half a million pounds per week to stay at United . Do you feel Pogba will drop those demands if Sanchez leaves in the summer . With the salary benchmark and a transfer muppet CEO who keeps briefing the media about his transfer plans we have a recipe for disaster in the coming summer window . Both the clubs and agents will take us to cleaners while negotiating .
If we were competing for the highest honours, then those demands would drop as it wouldn't be money players would come to us for.
Unfortunately we'll need to pay top dollar to get back to that stage.
Actually we need to find the best players for our system instead of spending money on the big names . Yes it's true we will need to pay top dollar to get close to the competition but we should not be held to ransom for that hence we should have appointed a director of football by now . Our biggest problem is Woodward seems to the transfer decision maker which won't help us at the moment and Ole is not that an experienced manager when it comes to transfers .

This forum is full of grown brats honestly. The way people speak about Ed Woodward on here, COO of a multi-billion pound company, you would think he was plucked from high school.
At least we don't have an end of season new manager that needs to assess the squad first. Ole if his eye sight is good, which I imagine is, has had a lot of time witness some of our turd first hand (Ashley Young aside) . I have faith he will ask Ed for the right players.
Not need to call names and it's just not me saying all this but the ex managers along with other media reports last season as to how he was vetoing transfer targets wanted by Jose along with briefing the media about the kind of transfers he wanted which he seems to be doing again now . Of course he is a successful COO but mainly for his marketing and financial prowess and not for his football related decisions . We are still awaiting his decision on the position of the director of football which I feel is needed .
Also as a fan of the club one has the right to comment and give their opinions on all the matters .

I’m just giving my own observation really. I think posters emotionally lash out, and make such sweeping statements about the intricacies of things they couldn’t be further from because their feelings are hurt in the transfer market. I apologise but it’s just become terribly annoying. ‘Woodward has to go!’, ‘Woodward is useless’. Those are even bad enough. But ‘Woodward is so dumb, he’s made all of our targets much more expensive now’. That stuff is stuff I feel compelled to add my 2 cents too. It’s ridiculous, and implies that Ed Woodward is a total moron. I strongly suspect that the truth is, he isn’t at all. ‘He’s just saying that because we lost, I’m not feeling for it’. This is just emotional grown men being bratty. They will celebrate Woodward again when he signs their favourite player in the summer, and post memes of Woodward being a God etc. Herrera not extending becomes a criticism because ‘how can he be allowed to leave before Jones?’, as if the two have anything to do with each other, or a COO with a brain should say ‘well Herrera won’t extend, and he’s better than Jones, so let’s pull Phil’s contract offer’.
Another favourite is because Woodward wasn’t a Balon D’or contender in his younger days, he ‘knows nothing about football, should stick to signing noodle partners’. Yet apparently, a bunch of posters who punch a clock every day and never played the game either have it all figured out, more so than the man who runs Manchester United, works with top football managers and agents every day, and is generally probably just a lot smarter anyway, has ‘no clue’. Until he signs Mbappé, then he does again. Until Mbappé fails here, then he doesn’t again, and ‘gave him a ridiculous contract’ etc.
The constant whinging about Woodward is a bit grating to me, that’s all. I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is mine. Mine is that a lot of the ones I read are baseless and no more than emotional venting.
When it comes to his football knowledge the proof is in the pudding. He’s presided over a disastrous period in United’s recent history and spent untold fortunes for the benefit of zero title challenges and two top four finishes. When he shows a modicum of knowledge on football then he can get credit for having it. All evidence points against it though.
