I think he meant 'for' rather than 4. Probably short on characters

Finally we've got someone with an iota of sense involved in the conversation over signings. Hopefully he'll be able to direct Woodward away from signing another big name whose best football is behind them.

So Ole's "1 or 2 players in" was Fergie speak, he wants the 4 same as Jose in his first summer. I have no issue with the long term approach, it probably rules out Koulibaly but hopefully also rules out Bale and Alderweireld.

For 120M i think it would be well worth it. A Messi-Dembele-Griezmann frontline would give you some big guarantees to stack trophies during Messi's last contract.

£120m for Griezmann may also help to set a more reasonable reference for a price for Sancho.
If Griezmann he available he should be signed. Sancho is 18 he wont come in and win us a title. In a high pressing attacking system Grizi can add 25+ goals and assists easily. If we want to challenge straight away we should sign him. If we go for Sancho we wont win a title for the next 2-3 seasons while Martial and Rashford try to find some damn consistency. We need both imo, and to get rid of Lingard, Mata and Sanchez.
We 100% could do with Griezmann in our XI, especially for those games where we go with Ole's 442 diamond

Urggg, Bale and Griezmann, two players who never wanted to join us, and would only do so if they're booted out, or don't get a better offer elsewhere, and only then for massive wages, and a massive fee, no thanks, I really hope we've learnt our lesson with these sort of deals.

Sancho at the price quoted is sucidal.
Anyone who would turn their nose up at getting Griezmann is a bit mad, he'd be an instant upgrade and instantly our best attacking player. Think he'd only leave for Barca though.
Go all in for Griz even if there is a glimmer of hope . Outstanding player that would benifit our system instantly .
