I love his style of play, but he's become available at the worst possible time for us with needing to spend heavily in other areas.

Be interesting if he does go to Madrid how their midfield would look next season. Their success has coincided with Casemiro being brought into the midfield to make it more solid. Would one of Modric or Kroos have to miss out? Not like he'd be a direct replacement for either in terms of play style either, however if they bedded him in over a season whilst fazing out Modric that could prove to be great business.

I would also say Real have the best chances. They were in for Pogba, would be natural to go after Savic if they want that type of midfielder. Think Kovacic could be the one going out. Dont see Modric/Kroos moving, even if ageing
Just made much the same point, however if you spend 100m on a player they are playing most games so one would have to drop out from Kroos, Modric and Casemiro.

Why would we be interested in Grealish? Anyone?!
My Villa mate just text me that as well, and he's laughing at the possibility so I'm assuming he's poor?

He's a natural footballer, nearly scored a wonder goal in the play off final, he goes past players with ease. You can see it on the vid in the link below at 2.26. He has a lot of negatives too but there is a chance he could kick on and become a top player IMO. He is very committed and puts in a shift too, sometimes he goes over the top though. There is talk that he's getting his head together after being an idiot in his younger days and working really hard behind the scenes, his conditioning is immense anyway.

Think Adnan, Nani and Zaha were all better players and probably still are. No thanks.

Well, peak Nani, current Zaha and a motivated Januzaj are all good enough to get minutes for us. I watched a fair bit of Grealish towards the end of the season and was very impressed. His decision making and temperament are a concern but his natural ability and work rate are big pluses. He's also a very good crosser of the ball.

Not that I think a move to United would be the right thing for us or him currently.

I'd like to keep Shaw just to see if he can give one final go in a United shirt to convince Mourinho.

Hell no both parties need to break away for the good of each other.

I remember when they got relegated he was being linked with quite a few big clubs and went off the radar being in the championship and the off field troubles.
I agree with you though from what I have seen of him this season. He is very comfortable on the ball, that hair though! Not sure he is for the top six in the premiership but think he would be a good signing for those hovering below it. With the money at Villa and being there prize assett not sure he will be a bargain price either, would rather Perreira for us for various reasons, think he seems under rated by a lot on here though

or he feels he can still kick on and become the player we bought.

Lets hope the latter, although it seems a big ask with how things have gone especially the time under Mourinho, a fit, confident and back to his best Shaw would be better than any of the names we are being linked with an of course save money for other areas.

You really have to wonder what is going on off the pitch though as the lack of chances and stick he has got from Mourinho is pretty shocking really

Mourinho and the club brief the press that only players that put in transfer requests will be leaving and shortly after Shaw’s reps brief the press that he has no intention to put in a transfer request.

Put simply, Shaw is expecting to be pushed out the club this summer and he’s making sure he’s compensated for it.

Waste of space, i just hope this won't mean we aren't getting a new leftback.

Really one of the worst transfers in recent memory. Cost a small fortune, hardly played anything because he was always injurred and now he is looking to see out his contract instead of looking for a transfer, knowing full well he won't play a single minute next season.

He's probably just lazy and still thinks of himself as a young lad. Every few months there's a news article saying, he's doing extra training or has a personal trainer or something. Then he goes dark and the same old shit happens. I'd say he just gets lazy. There's nothing Mourinho hates more than lazy players.

Yeah.

We definitely will be.

I wonder if Jose's going to give him the Schweinsteiger treatment next season. He'd have to withstand the universal criticism from idiots pundits about him "bullying" Shaw, but thankfully I don't think Jose cares.

MAN UTD TARGET UMTITI CLAIMS BARCELONA WILL HAVE TO THROW HIM OUT THE DOOR

“I'm at a club that allowed me to realise my dream of playing there.

“I'm still under contract at the moment. So for me to leave, either they throw me out the door or I decide to leave.”

Ermmm, is there another way to leave than the club deciding to sell you or you wanting out?
Umtiti acting like a real tit!

Looks like Luke Shaw is living in La La Land . He is probably thinking that he will have an amazing next season . Putting great performances along with winning back his spot in the team and then since his contract is expiring United will then beg him to stay and at that point he can dictate things . Personally i feel United should just sell him if he doesn't sign a new extension . No point keeping him if he doesn't commit his future as he probably plans to make money as a free agent next season irrespective of his performances .

Shaw really has no ambition at all. Such a shame that someone who looked so talented is so lazy. He’s clearly not got a future under Jose.
Some footballers want to be the best they can be. Sadly it seems like Shaw is one of the players who's happy to get an easy paycheck and live the life of riley without doing any more than the minimum required of him. Maybe he's killing the golden goose a bit early, considering he could have gone on and been a top earner for another decade, but he's going to be a very wealthy guy already and still walk into a wage most of us can only dream about when he moves on from Utd. Perhaps the leg break changed his outlook on life. Perhaps he was always that way and his raw talent disguised the poor attitude.

We'll never see those bonuses if they're performance related.

It won't be performance based, Juve are too clever to include anything that might be activated, it'll probably be a clause on him growing a full beard during the course of his contract.
