Liverpool are building a very exciting young team. Wankers
Yeah. Keita and now Fekir. Suddenly they have a top midfield and great attack. Robertson and Van Dijk will make one side of their defense solid. If they get a new CB and GK, they will have a side to match any other in the PL.

"Beşiktaş is negotiating very closely with Benfica to buy Talisca's bonservice and sell it to Man Utd."

Agent Faria to the rescue, please. Stop the price hiking.

So who is this Atleti player that can be gotten for that price?
A RB who can effortless putting consistent decent cross. While not being at great level, I rate him to have room to become great RB. Good engine. Quite aggressive.

For 3 pages I was looking for the traditional YouTube video of the player, none!

Here you go people.

This one is just his goals:

Fellaini out, Talisca in. Not bad if you ask me.

If he is a direct replacement for Fellaini then I would be happy......and for the record never seen him play, just the words direct replacement for Fellaini are good enough for me

BTW people moaning about him only playing for Besiktas are the same as those who wrote off the likes of Firmino. Not every signing has to be from an elite European team - it's about time we looked at players ready to step up a level instead of expensive ready-made players.

I completely agree with this idea but it should be players like Savic and Fekir not Talisca.

Fred plays for Shakhtar. Douglas Costa played for them too when the hype around him started.

I dont watch the Ukrainian or the Turkish leagues. Is the the Ukrainian one much stronger?

I just assumed South American players play there because the work permits are easier to get.

Based on what?

Based on what I’ve seen from watching games. You get a feel for a player pretty much straight away and I just don’t think he’d make a massive difference. I also have a friend who’s a huge Besiktas fan who thinks while he’s a good player he isn’t going to set the world alight.

How much have you seen of Savic or Fekir?

Between United, Savic, Fekir and Talisca, that is 4 different leagues. I struggle to keep up with all the games happening in the premier league.

I’ve seen enough to see that they have much higher ceilings. As I said, you only need to watch a few games combined with YouTube clips to get a decent feel for a player. Of course you can’t completely judge them on a relatively small sample size but it usually works out ok.

If we sign Talisca as a squad option to replace Fellaini then that’s fine, but I’d be a little disappointed if Jose thinks we can bridge the gap with him as a starter.

Youtube scouting + FM potential ability. We should scrap our scouting network.

Memphis and Fekir have had very similar seasons playing in the same team. Memphis couldnt handle the pace of the premier league. But Fekir will take us to another level because I saw a nicely edited youtube clip.

Okay.

Fekir could be a good signing, but he is not world class at the moment. He could be, but its not certain. Talisca could very well be just the same.

Okay.

Are people not allowed opinions anymore? When did the rules change?

Exactly, the marquee signings have done nothing for us really. Some of them I wonder if they're just happy collecting their big pay cheques.

Of course you can. I am just saying I don't think its valid as its based on youtube compilations.

Of course you would pick out the YouTube compliations part and not the part where I said watching games? Also people like to discredit them but you can see a lot from a YouTube clip. You can see their awareness of space, control, passing, shooting, pace, speed of thought. Obviously it’s always designed to highlight the player so you don’t see the bad moments but you can usually tell from watching if the player is genuinely good or not.

You could watch a Crouch YouTube clip and despite seeing the goals you still wouldn’t want him.

Don't be so precious about nobody taking an uninformed opinion seriously now.
You see how complex the Pogba / Martial / Lukaku discussions are and we've seen them play every week so its hard to take an opinion seriously when its based on fecking Youtube clips.
Even a handful of games is a joke tbh

Of course. But dont be sensitive about others challenging your opinion or asking you about the basis for your opinion.

I feel the same way you do, but I know that it is just based on hype in social media and will be very open to the player if he sign.

I feel I watch a lot of football, but I cant remember the last time I watched Besiktas.

And if I did watch Besiktas, how much attention would I pay to Talisca (unless I knew he was signing)?

Given that I did watch Besiktas and did pay a lot of attention to Talsica it would be quite difficult to compare him to a player in another team, system and league. Not to mention the fact that I would have to have quite a lot of them as well.

It is difficult enough to form a solid opinion on players we see regularly in the Premier League (like Doucoure for instance).

Agreed. The big bucks approach hasn’t been working great recently, id rather sign hungry players ready to win trophies, rather than people that’s won everything and looking for a payday.

It can be hit and miss either way. Memphis arrived and thought he was the bees knees. Now it might be Ligue 1 is his level or he might have just needed a bit of time.

It's not about the players being complacent or something. Moyes was a terrible choice, then LVG wasn't a great choice either. Jose is better than them but seems to be past it as a top top manager. Football has moved in a more dynamic direction, Jose looks a bit dinosaurish with his reactive and pragmatic approach.

You tube is bs!
Can't believe as an adult you seriously think judging a player by anything on YouTube is a good guide for how good a player is!
Even watching a few games is a joke:nono:
To form an opinion of how good someone is.
Coaching networks watch players continuously, some even for years to determine that players quality or suitability for a team/position, I can guarantee that they do not watch youtube or a few games to get a feeling if the player is good or not.

talisca is a good midfielder and would be happy to see him in our midfield, but honestly I wonder why Mourinho doesn't go for Kenedy is a great talent and if developed right will could be an attacking monster on the right wing.

also did people really downplay firming when he was at Hoffenheim? he was pretty good there

I remember Caf saying Depay was much better

Some people here have been under the Mourinho-spell too long. We are now opposed to buying a player who can shoot, run, dribble and attack balls in the box.
