He's not really a winger at all. He plays his best football centrally. He gets a lot of Rivaldo comparisons. He has freakish passing ability. Physically he's quite a threat too, he's scored quite a few headers this season.

Personally think it would be a great signing.

Talisca is a really underwhelming signing considering Liverpool are after Fekir. It's as if Mou thought to himself "let's sign more average players as if we haven't got enough of that already."
 
Players i wanted us to have last season: Keita, Van Dijk and this season: Fekir
Looks like every player I want is ending up in Pool, maybe I should want Peter Crouch and Mertasacker.

He's more of an attacking midfield. Mourinho wanted him years ago and we were linked with him last year as well. He's very tall, reasonably quick and a decent dribbler. From what I've seen, he's not all that impressive though. If we are in for him, I reckon he'd be more of a Fellaini replacement, with us signing another midfielder alongside him.

Well that is what I was referring to. I'd be extremely disappointed if we're wasting a signing on him. He's a good player, but he isn't going to help bridge the gap to City.
 
Seems like the Turkish media has seriously picked this up.

Haven't watched Talisca apart from a couple of CL games for Besiktas, so not sure whether to get excited by this.

When he plays good I think he's almost world class but he tends to disappear in some games. I don't know if it's a mental thing that will always be there or if it's because playing against teams in Super Lig which parks the bus is pretty boring, which lowers his motivation. He was really good in CL for example...

I think playing with a bit players around him and a proper striker in front of him will give him the spaces he needs and wants. Tbh I don't really follow any other teams than Besiktas so I can't say if he's the right player for Mourinho but imo he's good enough for PL, but maybe not the top teams...yet.

I have to be honest Anderson Talsca is vastly underrated player who has scored goals in the champions league and is a much better player than most believe. He has pace and can pick a pass. This to me sounds like a plan B if Sergej Milinokovic Savic does not sign. let's be honest on todays performance and the last 5 or 6 games anyone who can pass or cross a ball would be a vast improvement on the current squad!
 
If we sign him he'll probably be better than our last Anderson.

Shouldn't need much negotiation to activate the buyout option, no? Unless they're trying to reduce how much they have to pay Benfica.
 
We were linked last transfer window, although there was never anything concrete, and the player talked about mourinho being very supportive of him as a player. Could be for real.
 
I can not make the joke about us being linked with Benfica players every summer since we actually signed Lindelof last summer and this is coming from the Turkish media.
 
What would the fee be? If it’s 30 mill or under its probably a Fellaini replacement.

Transfermarkt says Besiktas has an option to buy him from Benfica for €21M, so probably €28-35M.
