By all accounts, we rejected the same money we paid for Darmian. Not convinced we should be so insistent on a profit on players who ultimately haven’t excelled.

Honestly don't see the point in keeping players who are now what 3rd choice in their positions and will likely not even make more than 10 appearances each next season. It's great to hold out for the prices you want but for players like Darmian and Blind who are clearly not in the managers plans and on wages that a lot of teams won't be able to match then it really is a buyers market. If they're not in Mourinhos plans then take whatever we can get for them and move on. Get them off the wage bill and open up space in the squad for academy players.
