Who are #safc? I've seen this a few times, and the implications in the story is that they are are referring to Sunderland, but was trying to work out the 'a' stands for.
Association.

People keep saying things like this. Are you watching them play at all? They are looking better than any other point of the season. They are also trying to bring replacements in for these players.

Hull were equally as dogged at the start of the season. The owners have no interest anymore. Livermore, Snodgrass and probably Robertson will have left the club this window. Maguire is reported to be stalling over a new contract.

The club will go down and stay down if they are relegated.

No just no. Rooney is one of the most well known players out there and if the likes of Oscar are fetching 60 million then no way should we accept 20 million for Rooney.
 have you seen him play in the last 18 months? ANY fee for him plus not paying that ridiculous contract anymore would be a massive win!

We should not be selling rooney for 20 million mid season. We need squad depth and rooney is still good enough for that.If any deal is to happen it should happen in summer.

I know, I would have thought the same - if I had not seen what is happening on the pitch. They have won their last two home league games, just beat United at home in the Cup without those players you mentioned.

Marco Silva has them well organised and even playing good football. Most importantly though, they are getting some results, which matters more than whoever the personnel is. I think they have a chance.

Yes and he has been utter rubbish. I think we can get more than £20 million from China considering the stupid fees they are throwing about at the moment however.

Yeah, but no. Spirit looks alright, but personnel is still lacking.

I would let Rooney go for £20 never mind £20million.

Sorry buddy that was my first post on it I just wasn't sure you meant that!
No offence, but i just hate expressions like "bigger". Those are purely subjective opinions by mostly biased fans, who call one club bigger then the other. "Bigger" is just no quantitative feature. Different people can mean different things with bigger, so it just leads to confusion and misunderstanding each other.

I'd like to stay within quantitative terms (also directed on all the OPs discussing this matter) and there West Ham is clearly the more attractive employer currently. They have way more money, pay a lot more wages, have a lot more visiters to their games, and a better squad. Apart from people with special bonds to Marseille, i am sure 95% of all players would prefer a move to West Ham over Marseille, when they think they will be in the first 11 for the club. This might change with the new investor at Marseille, but not there yet for a long shot.

When it's all said and done, all of that is off the field terrace talk. On the pitch, where it matters, they are playing well and getting results. Unlike QPR, who went down with great personnel.

Besides, the window is still open and they have said they are actively trying to get up to 5 players in. We'll see if those materialise and if they are any good. They failed to get Leon Bailey, and if that is the calibre of player they are after, then who knows?

I'm probably in the minority but I think he'd be a decent short term (18 month) signing for United.

I think Ivanović has been the best overall right back in PL history, but he suddenly got old after winning the league. Several players took his soul at the start of last season. Montero ate him. He's past it now. We should stick with Valencia over him.

I don't see such great results. They played ok against Chelsea, then lost, they played ok against us but got a dodgy peno and still went out, they just got hammered by Fulham 4-1 with their main striker missing two penalties. They look ok in midfield but bereft of ideas up front.

Agree with this. He massively fell off a cliff seemingly overnight after the year Jose won the league with them.

I agree but it would get him off the wage book. I think he'll be worth less in the summer.

Our Nev was better plus Lauren was better imo.

Ivanovic can easily still play as a CB for a competitive club. He's simply not good enough to play fullback any longer.

Will be very sad to see him go but it's time.

I don't think so.

Ivanović was very steady for years and chipped in with a lot of goals. Surprisingly mobile and technical as well.

I don't rate Lauren. Sagna is better.

Sagna was nowhere near as good in fact I think Zabaleta at best was better than Sagna

Looks like the window is picking up a bit at least. Interesting to see Chelsea going all in to try and cement the title. I still can't believe we're not signing anybody though.

Does he really expect Leicester to let him go to a relegation rival?

The most depressing thing about that sentence is that they see Hull as a rival.

Leicester are close to the drop, but will reach 35 odd points and stay up.

Embarrassing from the champions.
