Imagine Evra scoring a 95th minute own goal at OT in GW38 to hand us the title and relegate Palace

Evra back in the premier league, but not for us :( It's for the best of course, but it'll be weird to see him playing against us in the league.

Don't do it Pat!

It will make me sad to see him at another PL club. :(

Same club that were fined in that 3rd person ownership saga?

They are the definition of a mess. Always have been.
To add to that, having the like of Rio, Carrick, Joe Cole, Lampard... from their academy, but selling them all, just to be a nothing club while these player belong to other clubs' successful period. West Ham was a mess to begin with as far as I know them.

I love how we're standing up and being counted in the transfer market now. No longer are we accepting a pittance for our players.

Pre-Mourinho: Nani, Rafa, Hernandez + RvP = £15 million

Now: Schneiderlin + Memphis = £40 million (potentially)

Can't be helped with SAF's style of management= shoveling out of favor players out of the door at soon as possible. Moyes is clueless: Nani's renewal, Rooney's renewal. LVG is painfully honest and makee it so clear to everyone which players are not favored = price bullied.

Mourinho said the right thing about the players (for sale) and helped keeping reasonable sale value (at least during his time here). Before people brought up the KDB & Lukaku case, first Chelsea has DoF and Mourinho doesn't always have full say. Secondly, KDB & Lukaku was sold with profit positive net gain. They were just sold too soon before they reached their potential thus top value.

Cannot even recall us rejecting bids in the last 3years. Usually any low ball offer is accepted. Nice to see .

The best thing about this would be that I'm going to the Palace match in May :D

It'll be like seeing your ex who you're still in love with for the first time in ages across the room at a party, and you're ecstatic to see her. But then another dude walks up, puts his arm around and gives her a kiss. Then you go home and weep. :(

That sounds too scouse for me. If Big Sam is the other dude, I’ll be fine.

Mirror saying West Ham will sell Payet this month. Apparently he wants to move back to France for personal reasons.

Bad attitude or not, why are the big clubs not going all in? He could transform Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool.

Spurs or Liverpool? Really? Imagine Payet working with Poch or Klopp, with their insane pressing. Of all big clubs you could mention, these two are really the worst in terms of actually fitting in.

Payet would be excellent in a pressing team.

I think that's exaggerating his ability somewhat. He's nearly 30 years old and is a player who has had one great season in his career. It would also take an investment of £50-60m (fee + wages) to get him from West Ham.

He is also the archetypal "big fish, small pond" player who excels when he has players around him covering for his laziness/defensive inadequacy and who knows he'll play every game regardless of performance. In terms of Spurs/Liverpool he wouldn't suit their pressing game and would be cost prohibitive. In terms of Arsenal they already have good options behind the centre forward; if they were spending that amount I imagine they would be looking for a quality striker.

Truth is I can't see him moving unless either a Chinese team stumps up enough cash for West Ham to agree the sale; or if he creates a toxic enough situation that the club just want rid (which in truth would be a struggle as he has 4.5 years left on his contract).

How so? He's lazy and one could argue he's slightly unfit. Finneh sums it up perfectly.
