You're right. We're notoriously bad. I can kind of appreciate the stance of not wanting to make it too hard for players to get on and continue their career elsewhere. Especially when it comes to academy products. But it's a nice change to see us demand decent fees in an inflated market.

I rate Januzaj, but i think he is better off developing somewhere else than with us.
I don't see a place for him in the squad, nor do i think Mourinho see him fitting in, even if he believes in Januzaj's potential.
Lyon would be a great place for him to grow as a player.

His first season was great. But he has done about as much as I have to progress since then
100% agreed. Shocking to think he is still only 21. Seems so long ago that he burst on the scene. Don't see any future for him here at all.

I would like a replacement for his squad placement yes. Is that so silly to think. I love Bastian fecking Schweinsteiger but he was only getting games because Schneiderlin wanted out. I don't expect BFS to be anything but someone that will come on for 5 mins to ammuse home fans when we are 3 love up. That leaves us with Pogba Herrera fellaini and Carrick as Center mids and seeing that we play best with 3 mids, and we only have 4, I would like us to get a very good holding / b2b mid to give our main mids a break. Looks like we are being linked with that French kid from Monaco. Would love to get him in and get him acclimatised to the squad and the country early so he can be an integral part of the side next season the very least like when Chelsea bought back Matic. He needs a place where the pressure to perform isn't as big. Lyon is a good team in a slightly weaker league than the PL. Playing with good players and for a club that have a lot of time for young talents would be ideal for him.

I'll add: confused Wenger with one more below top class level forward option, lest him buying a proper forward. With proper top class forward they could have increased their chance to win the title, especially season like last one.
