Indeed.

My theory is that it's the first World Cup Summer since the PL money was boosted, and lots of big teams want to get a big signing done now so there's less business to do in the Summer.

That makes sense.

City have pulled the plug on Alexis Was all agreed with the agent but he told them United are offering more. Their response: “ok, bye then.” Guardiola on board with this as Alexis is open to the United move, such is his desperation to leave Arsenal.

Jesus, making it seem like only wanting to leave Arsenal is the reason for joining us.

The good old "we didn't want him anyway" City briefing, to save face.

Knobhead club.

I just can’t believe the spin of the oil barons. United are now the dirty money club. It’s scary how some journalists are trying to rewrite history.

In fairness Woodward has used that trick numerous times in recent years, nice that it looks like we're on the right side of it this time.

The love affair between the media and Pep at the moment is astonishing.

State of this place if De Gea were to refuse it now :wenger:

If I was Chelsea looking for a big presence up front, I'd look at Giroud.

It's not like Arsenal would stand in their way and he's a better player (certainly less injury prone) than Carroll.

We should close Sanchez and then sign Malcolm as well just for the craic. Finish the job then in the summer by bringing in Ozil on a free.

Being able to piss off City and Arsenal...and depress Chelsea fans in just one hit is getting a little too much for me to take! I just hope we get this one over the line tomorrow.

Press desperate to make it seem like 'moneybags United' are getting him purely for financial reasons because poor City can't afford. Sanchez wouldn't sh1t on United of course, but he's so desperate to leave Arsenal that he's resigned to going there as daddy Pep has pulled the plug.

Can someone please ask Souness to show us how this whole tapping up thing works. And could he feck off to Monaco and get Fabinho lined up for this summer. Thanks!
