We're a club who have got crazy fees for players we weren't even using. Have to imagine that for our irreplaceable superstar talisman we'd be able to get a world record fee. Mbappe just cost nearly 200m after a single great season. Hazard is one of the 5 best players in the world, is still young, and has years left on his contract.
It should take something astronomical for us to even consider or our board are incompetent. I mean, Barca are apparently willing to pay 150m for Coutinho and Hazard is better than him. The one poor season apart, Hazard has been one of the 1-2 best players in the Premier League.
We can go elsewhere but we'll find the same answer.
In today's market our alternative is to encourage players to clearly show their intentions.

No, I think he would go if you guys came up with the money. Can't see Hazard coming out and denying what his father said. He'll continue to do what he's been doing. Keeping his options open. If Real Madrid starts campaigning through the media like they did with De Gea and Bale I think his head will be turned. I also think it would piss our club off and hopefully force Real Madrid to pay a world record fee.
You will get less for him than Mbappe/Neymar . He will be under 150 million.
Can't see how or why that would be. Contract is until 2020 so there's no pressure to sell him with the risk of him pulling an Alexis Sanchez. We have absolutely zero incentive or desire to sell him.
Real Madrid aren't going to pay £200M for a player that'll have two years on his contract next summer. They'll likely go for someone else instead. The only player I can see going for remotely near that sort of money at the moment is Kane but I can't see him leaving Spurs and again, I doubt Real Madrid would pay that much unless they sell Bale and make the Rodriguez deal permanent in the summer rather than 2019.

Yep, you hold all the cards here and I don't think Hazard is the type of guy to sabotage or go on the strike or whatever.

Even though RM and the Spanish league isn't quite the attraction they were a few years ago, it is hard to envision him not being tempted by the move.

Yeah but during the summer he went on strike, handed in a transfer request and everything. Was only once he was told he wasn't leaving at any cost that his 'back injury' healed up and he played.
Because he’s not as good as Neymar or, in the future, Mbappe? I can see him going for over £100mn if we do go for him, but not as much as £150mn.
Messi and Ronaldo nearing the end of their cycle, neither Barca or Real being unplayable like they used to be and lots of clubs having the power to outspend them. Also I think the PL has taken huge leaps the last few years with the quality of players and managers.
For latin players, sure, but it just doesn't feel like RM and Barca can just point their finger at a player and he comes running anymore. Pogba chose us over RM, and Neymar chose to get the feck out of Barca for PSG of all clubs.

Mbappe has had one good season. Hazard has been world class for years now and is only 26. I think he'll command at least £150m. Especially if he moves in a World Cup summer.

For the first time ever I could actually see Ronaldo leaving Madrid. He's on the wane and a move would probably suit both parties. Ronaldo gets a massive paycheck and a new challenge, RM start a rebuilding process which has to happen sooner or later. Bale, Ronaldo, Ramos, Modric et al don't have long left there. 2-3 years at absolute max.
He needs to new challenge to show everyone he's still top dog. Come win us a premier league next year and he does that.
