No surprise he would jump on it instead of looking around and thinking "I'm the 4th choice striker with 3 other 9's in front of me and we have no European football, so I might only get 10-15 starts this whole season."

I'll be extremely disappointed if we sell Welbeck to a rival. At the start of the day we had 4 established strikers and we could end up with 3 by the end of the day. We are a team severely lacking pace in attacking positions and this will make it even worse. Selling him to a direct rival is just madness, if it happens.

and to the guy who said he's not important in the managers eyes, he features in Louis' strongest eleven in pre season, and was important for both Moyes and partly Fergie 2 years ago - playing against Real Madrid.
