Here it is, I wrote Eto'o as 27 because I bought Kaka for 33 and got 6 plus Eto'o which makes his cost 27.

After this I received 4m.
 
Balu is easily the favorite given the money he is left with. His side is very sold though lacks that edge which will be needed if he draws another strong team.

Now this is over, I don't think this is the perfect auction format.

The easy thing to take away from here is that there is no point nominating the players you want early. To give an example, I think if Cutch had waited till the end to nominate Mendieta and Guardiola, he would have gotten them for half the price. If someone like Overmars enter the bidding on day 1, he goes for 30m+ easily.
It is not applicable for all the players, the absolute top end ones will go for a lot no matter the timing.

This is why I think positional based rounds are better. In that case, you don't have the option to get a cheap winger in the end in case you cheap out on getting one in earlier rounds. Or for any position that may come earlier than others.

To give an example, I think if Cutch had waited till the end to nominate Mendieta and Guardiola, he would have gotten them for half the price. If someone like Overmars enter the bidding on day 1, he goes for 30m+ easily.
It is not applicable for all the players, the absolute top end ones will go for a lot no matter the timing.

This is why I think positional based rounds are better. In that case, you don't have the option to get a cheap winger in the end in case you cheap out on getting one in earlier rounds. Or for any position that may come earlier than others.

I will be happy to. Hope you did not take it as a criticism of yours. I actually thought the 55 thing was perfect, it was only towards the end I realized the issue with it. But we were always going to learn something from the first auction based one though.

I tried to argue for this since the start. It was obvious that such a list would mean that random players would end up terribly underpriced and others terribly overpriced.

That is why I wanted a free list since the start, no positions and no list that limits it. If one has to choose of course the positional one is a step above, there at least everybody will buy cheap strikers if they are the last position to buy from and expensive wingers if they are the first.

But the next auction draft there really has to be no limitations on who to bid for. Everybody should be available from the start and the list won't be hard to keep a track of AT ALL.

You guys realize the "sold player list" we are quoting constantly has the maximum amount of players. The amount that "Would be too much to possibly handle/read".

I am having a blast by the way though!

That would not have solved the problem. No one would have been forced to add in players then. They could have still just waited and did it in the end.
