Is Andersson comfortable on the left? Not sure I've ever seen him play there? Either way, one of the rash defenders should be partnered with Andersson, imo. Heinze + Ramos is an accident waiting to happen.

I'm almost certain I've seen Ramos play on the left though. Pippa will be best to answer that though.

But from what I've shown you earlier, as soon as he was moved to the left and then to the centre he was seen as someone "who's ability was maximised" as per one of the pieces I referred to in my last post. And that certainly fits in line with how his productivity skyrocketed at Barcelona.

I don't know who other teams are playing on the right, but I know for certain that Enrique isn't better than Figo there. If anything I would've just sold Rui Costa and played Enrique in the middle, and get a real right midfielder. But that's just me, I don't know what everyone else is going to notice when they look at your team.

I see your point, I just think its really different than the Zanetti or Schweinsteiger, because for them its a major position change, whereas for him it's just moving around the frontline. Look how many wingers today or #10s move around that front three behind the striker line all around the game. It's like you could've played Mata either RW, or AM, and in neither position it would've been a problem even though he's best Chelsea days came from AM and now in RW he's good but not great, still if someone would've played him RW no one would've blinked and cared because you know he's comfortable there. Plus, at modern football wingers swap positions so many times during matches so I have no concerns about it.
Honestly, I don't see why you're making such a fuss about it. He did play there, maybe not proven his best years there, but for a player known for his versatility and for a position really close to his best position(AM/LW as you pointed out), and you're talking like I'm playing him as a full back.
 
@Edgar Allan Pillow I think the left one is better too, but I agree that Ramos-Heinze is weak as hell. I think that Inzaghi shouldn't be employed as the lone striker in a diamond(not a real goalthreat at that way), but I'm also unsure on Drogba and him together, can't imagine it working, did either ever play with a striker similar to the other?

I think people are going slightly too far regarding Enrique. Will he be bad because he switches position? No. Will he play completely different? Yes.

So if Enrique isn't told to hug the side-line and provide width but is in a free role to roam inwards and even to the left then it will work brilliantly.

I just don't understand why you would play someone in a position that they weren't the best at, only due to the fact that they were so versatile that they could play the position. Would anyone use Enrique at right back? Or Zanetti at left back? I just don't see it, even though they are both very capable of playing there. What would the reaction be if someone used Enrique as a centre forward? Most likely a negative one.

I used Gullit at centre midfield in the last draft against Polaroid because he actually excelled in that position in both Holland and England. And with that I changed my comments about him changed, because he wasn't playing up front like he did against Crappy.

If Enrique is billed as a goal-scoring midfielder playing on the right, that makes no sense because when he was consistently playing on the right, he rarely scored goals. When he moved to the left and to the centre, he started scoring much more consistently.

It's not a problem to me, it's not like it is a choice that will automatically make me vote against VJ. The way I see it, he's using Enrique on the right and Giggs on the left to help support his weaker fullbacks (in comparison to the rest of his team's quality). He has a brilliant team and Enrique isn't a weakness.

It's just odd because I've watched him play for both Real Madrid and Barcelona and he has never struck me as a great right midfielder.

We're actually not that far off being finished here. Nearly all of the bids currently will go through ok. Then we're waiting on:

  • Gandalf to pick a Rightback. Who did he ask for now that he's been priced out of Maicon? @antohan?
  • kps to pick 3 players (RB, CB, RW) and whatever else he wants seeings he's loaded. Not sure whats delaying this.
  • Balu and NoPace to buy more players if they wish, seeings they're also full of money

If I get the 3 players I'm waiting for, I'm finished, I'm looking for a good deal, if someone wants to sell a great player, but I doubt it will happen at this stage. I wouldn't mind finishing players early, if everyone says, they won't bid on them. No need to wait 24hours, when it's obvious, no one will raise the bid anyway.

Would just need two more; already got three on the way. Just waiting on a few potential deals. Once everyone tells me to feck off it'll be quick bids for the two.
