It is here as well. In the reinforcement round you add any unspent kitty to the 50M prize money.

Teams that have lost balance due to focusing too much resource in one area are in principle more likely to go out. With half the teams releasing their players, and many of these being the very and most expensive best, I can see those extra bucks landing a Messi for 51M.

Simplistic example, and pace has done great business so far, but goes to show saved money could be HUGE.

Well, after Robben went for 30m, I thought, I might get him for 30-35 :lol:. But yeah, I agree, he's worth 50m.
 
Err... Robben just went for 30M and he was 43M in the trial. You got Goofy for 70M instead of 85M in the trial. You may have gone a bit overboard there. Certainly wouldn't chase him to 50M unless you really want him.

I was going for an All-Time high risk strategy here as well: assemble a side for 200-250M, fluke the draw and wing it to the reinforcements, then show up with 100-150M in your pocket...

Game, set and match. Needed that lucky draw though.

Said you were inconsistent in that post because you gave two entirely separate reasons as to why you raised those bids. One - to speed things up by bringing players to righteous prices (which you were eventually right about on average in the end, my bad), and Two - to 'fool' others into bidding higher.

Then you'd basically pick up Messi, Ronaldo, Cristiano all in a go. Was thinking about it as maybe the best option too actually if I wasn't so set on the theme.

Reinforcement round shouldn't be an auction, unless you re-auction a fresh. Otherwise it's ridiculously unbalanced.

No, I never said the latter. You said my actions fooled you into thinking Ronnie was cheap (which he was!!!!) and something else. I said it was interesting if my actions turned you into a fool, not that I had set out to achieve that.

Fat chance they all went out, but likely you would pick up 4-5 top tier reinforcements for a combined total of about a half or even a third of what they went on the intial auction. It all really depended on how much you saved relative to others.
