For me MJJ vs Balu is the game of the round. Balu IMO has the best team out of the ones left while MJJ has a United style with Giggsy, Keano, Rooney and Cristiano!

As for my game, crappy has a kickass team and should be going foward to the semis.

I voiced my opposition to all these deals at that time as well. It made little sense to me. I let it go because it was the same round, here you are bringing in funds from future rounds.

I think you both have rock solid teams and very even ones. Whoever gets the scan-voters with them will probably win that battle.

My match-up against PaceMe is interesting too.

Robben VS Capdevila - Rematch of the 2010 WC Final where Capdevila got the best of him and Spain kept a clean sheet.
Lahm/Schweinsteiger lost the final of Euro 08 and the semi-final in WC '10 where Torres played instead of Ronaldo and Spain still managed to score.
Stam VS Ronaldo Rematch of the '98 WC match-up where Ronaldo scored in the 1-1 game which saw Netherland go out on penalties.
Messi VS Ronaldo How will Messi co-op without dominating possession and relying mainly on counters - how will Ronaldo handle dominating possession and attack in tight spaces more often.

Anyway you will get your chance to have Messi out now. If you win, offer Ronaldo to someone for 50m+ and get Messi instead and that's draft won. Job's good one.

I think he's perfectly suited to beat me. I have no natural wingers which means his wingbacks would have the freedom they need while his three Cbs should be able to keep my strikers quiet.

It's a mismatch tbh.

That is why I got him! The only striker who can even nearly replace him in this draft and if Messi becomes available Ronaldo is still a better fit for everybody than Messi is.

No teams but me looks better with Messi in them instead of Ronaldo!

True, only issue is you would have to find someone who would be willing to pay over 50 for him, basically more or less his whole budget like I and you did. I would have gladly done that had been there in the next round.

Yeah.. every one would want Ronaldo. I think Balu made a mistake not getting him this time around. He is one of the clear standouts ,does not have the haters that Messi and CRon bring, and almost won the round for Fergus.

I am not sure about Ronaldo playing with the Barca trio TBH, but I would wait till your tactics to make up my mind either way.

He would fetch 50m+ again next round easy. Though if the managers are smart they won't allow Annah to get Messi :) I just don't see anyone voting against Messi + Barca MF.
