I find it hard to believe bringing Emerson on would be the reason for such a turnaround
I was going to comment yesterday on how having all those United players didn't seem to be helping MJJ with the scan votes. Guess it happened today.
The sub had nothing to do with the turnaround. Anyway, congrats to MJJ. I like his team, I hope he can somehow make a deal for Scholes and complete an awesome Premier League 442 team. I've no idea if that can win the draft, but it would be amazing to see it in full power. Maybe we see it in a semi final line-up with a Barca pressing theme with Messi, a Brazil '02 532 with Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Ronaldo and a Juve/Milan diamond with Zidane and a few others. Would be brilliant to see how those teams play against each other. So be nice, make a few great deals and don't let MJJ rob you, after all I gave him Giggs and the money to buy Keane

I haven't participated in too many drafts but the auction draft really is working beautifully. Teams are being put together with real care and the sides looks a lot more complete than they would in a snakes draft. Brilliant sides really.

I think that really won it for me in the end. Thank God Moyes got sacked. MJJ I never expected this level of a performance from you in the thread as you seem really fun and easy going. Aye, Theon had a great 4-4-2 in the Premiership draft. Think it fell to Polaroid in the semi final, but it was as classic a 4-4-2 as I've seen in this.
For me it is a clear no go. Especially in the next round. The core of United 99 was having the two best central midfielders in the world. Scholes and Keane were still gung-hoo as hell and that team was all about outscoring the opponent. I am not sure you can replicate it at all as here they would be up against midfields that won't be dominated even by a Scholes-Keane partnership. Especially as you replaced Beckham who was maybe the best right sided midfielder defensively for Cristiano who Gary Neville said forced him to defend alone.
I would also focus on improving the Shearer/Rooney attack, if you want to be gung-ho you need an outstanding attack that makes sure you outscore your opponents and they won't provide that. The key of the dream team(Barca) and United of 99 is to unleash the gung-hoo completely rather than trying to find a defensive balance in it.

I voted against you because of your CM pairing. Very light even with Keano there as you'l be up against top CMs every game.
