Thanks. One thing I think is that 6 for both AMs.wingers and Strikers is a bit too much. The chances of building a good attack are very low this way.

You don't need Ronaldinho, Messi and Ronaldo to build a good attack. Having two at max is more than enough, having one is already enough considering there's plenty of quality non TP-rated players to try and partner them with.

It is a bit of the idea of the draft, if you want Platini then you have to build a beautiful side around him as he will cost TP-points and money. So it might not be best to split him from his former teammates as the quality difference between them and "the best random player for the same price" will be small hopefully.

:lol:I think rating wingers and AM 4 would accomplish the same principle but its just a small observation. Should be a fun draft anyway.

The issue is that then people will suddenly rate goal-scoring wingers like hell and rightly so. Messi would be played out wide and so would any striker who can.

That is why I made the winger-list so narrow, because it was primarily used to target wingers who are goal-scorers or scan-vote friendly. Boniek/Conti/Beckham are all left in the game and they are outstanding, so there are enough players available in those positions - as goes for the AM position even if there are slightly less.

The reason for being more strict on the AM position is that "the goal-scoring central midfielder" never gets a look at. When was the last time Gerrard or Lampard had a good run in these games, never as they fall so short compared to a Zidane or a Maradona.

Now people will desire goals from the midfield if they have built strong defenses, so a Ballack is suddenly brilliant.

Thats more to do with the clubs they play for and the types of players they are though. Nothing to do with their quality, its a united forum afterall.

Add as many as you want, no list. Thought it was very flawed last time and hopefully this will be a better solution. Last time people named players for the list who they didn't want and also had issues bidding correctly for a team/unit as they had no clue if they would be able to secure, for example Pirlo for the Milan theme, in the end or not.

This way people can bid on the player they think are most risky, so if you want that Milan side you can bid for Pirlo without being forced to bid on Seedorf/Gattuso/Kaka before it because they are on the list.

If Pirlo gets too expensive you can change idea, instead of being stuck with 3 players from the Milan midfield.

Really isn't about their clubs as it applies to the all-time drafts as well. Nobody ever won a draft because they had a goal-scoring central midfielder who the voters thought would be the match-winning factor.

Fair enough as everybody wants four offensive players on the pitch which means the central midfielders has to be defensively solid more than they have to be goal-scorers.

Now I don't think there is a huge benefit of having Beckham over Gerrard in the same way it is having Messi as a LW instead of Gerrard as a third goal-scoring CM.
