I don't think it's fair on Chester. There's only ever going to be one winner in an Oldies vs. Recent theme. His men deserve a fair outing in a less lop-sided game.
Chesterle has to play one of the losers anyway? Why is it not fair now?
Well, I don't know who I'm playing - so submitting a write-up would be somewhat premature.
For the record I don't care who I play - doesn't matter to me at all. But I'd like to know what team I'll be up against before I submit my tactics.
A loser (good as they are) isn't the same as Cutch's Milan Army! It's just the romantic in me not looking forward to seeing the likes of Littbarski and Francescoli chucked aside and ignored because they face Nesta and company.

The two matches need to start today IMO otherwise this will draft, there is no way we should allow this to overlap with WC.

I'm easy but personally i'm not really a fan of losing teams returning. Understand it on this occasion for to have a 16th team but don't see the point in replacing every no show aswell with teams already beaten. A no show in any draft should probably be a bye, which is a shame as i was looking forward to playing Stobzilla, and did the writeup to suit.

Feck it, start it up sure @Annahnomoss, i've waited 10 days for a game. Remove the 2nd half of my writeup though as it won't make sense. Change 'Stobzilla' in the last paragraph and replace with 'Kazi'. Remove 'Eastern European' also .

I did the draw so that if we take that route, people have something prepared. Aldo is right that if this drags to WC, it would be pointless. Keep in mind that auctions in between will also consume time!

There were always going to be 8 matches. Can you prepare ad-hoc tactics based on Cutch anyway?

fwiw I agree with Cutch and see where he's coming from. If he wants bye he shouldn't be forced to play against someone who lost earlier.

That kind of decision is for Annah to make since before the draw, it was made clear that one person will face the lucky loser.
